yea, I was playing around with the resolution and accidentially made it expand far beyond my screen, so I had to go to the prefs.ini to fix it. and it was ok after that. May have been something like that.
smjjames
may have something to do with the processor or the vid card. Try turning the 'simple explosions' option on, that could help. Edit: you can also turn off the explosions if you want to.
I did play WOW and wasn't real addicted, I eventually got turned off WOW due to what it had become.
yea its in DA only.
yess, come joiin the daark side! lol, couldn't resist. Anyways, Dark Avatar is really cool and theres a whole bunch more textures and ship jewlery. You can also use Kryo's hull mod to unlock some more stuff and use fake versions of normal ship hulls as jewlery.
I also got the crash when I tried to do an economic treaty and trick them into giving me most of thier planets or something because I had a pirate problem going on at the same time.
actually, I think it might be normal. I checked on it and I had the same thing, my guess is that the base size could be 9 and then it adjusts to whatever size hull you're using and the miniturization. The devs will probably know for sure if this is a bug or if this is normal.
hmm, did you have the hull size selected before selecting the engine and then selecting the cargo hull? could have been the game calculating the relative size.
well I switched it to run in windowed mode but with the res the same as my monitor, making it effectively fullscreen, and it works just fine there.
hmm, do they take damage when they shoot friendly ships or fire on themselves? if so, then that is REALLY wierd. Maybe the other ships are getting in thier firing line? Also, does it happen with all weapon types or just certain ones? just wondering. Been playing around with cakewalk until the wierd PQ bug is fixed, so haven't been in many fights.
its a joke of his and a pretty good one too I never saw any kind of event like that in the xml. The closest would be those researchers finding a way to animate the dead and creating undead soldiers.
He's right, it's the same. Lazy at best The good news, smjjames, is that you can mod the spech to say anything you want. I did say that I knew that I could mod the speech to whatever I want, I just want to see what the SD team can come up with <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Smile
3: KRYYN SIDE-CAMPAIGN!! The Kryyn are not mentioned in the main campaign , anywhere, and the lacking of their story makes it hard to distinguishe their character in the game, which can be very annoying when trying to expect how they will play. I agree with this, the Krynn need a background story and I'm sure Brad has plans for these guys, so hopefully we'll learn more about them soon <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Smile.gif"
1. I definetly like the idea of new 'terrain' since they were able to do it with the asteroid fields. Also, a spin on the idea of having nebulae which would be pretty big in larger maps, is that when inside nebulae, your sensor range is decreased because of interference from the gases and other natural phenomena inside nebulae. 2. Allow us to actually do something about space stations that we don't want in our territory without going to war. 2) More m
I like to use cinematic as it often looks cool. I have no idea how to use the free cam, probably because I don't have a wheel mouse or middle mouse button like sam0t mentioned about.
yea, they are like the I-League, only more aggressive. Like thier name indicates, they are a violent group.
its not neccesarily a bug per se, just a lack of trying to make a new one for the Krynn. When I looked at the intro text for them, I realized something was familiar, so I looked at the arceans and it is the exact same text word for word, the only difference is that it says Krynn Consulate instead of Arcean Empire. C'mon you guys, I know you could make a proper intro text for the Krynn, even though they hardly have any background story right now. edit: just looked at the Korath
well there is a planet quality bug that is going on, which will affect the way the planets work and the economy, so that is probably part of what you're seeing. Since the PQ bug is messing things up, might want to do the analysis after its been fixed as the bug will keep the morale and other stuff from working properly.
I have no idea man, I'd like to help, but sounds like it could be deep in the technical stuff. The devs will be back on tomorrow though.
Debug Message: Version v1.4x last updated on: Mon Oct 23 17:43:56 2006 try downloading the latest update please, there may be a fix in the latest one for your problem.
I wonder if that old pentium is the problem, I run a pentium 4 which is 3.40 GHz and it works just fine graphically. Try lowering or increasing the anti-aliasing, which could help.
did you make sure your AMD has its latest update? Alot of people have been posting lately with the AMD processor and there are issues with it which are fixed with the latest dual core update. Which is why I'm asking. There are a whole bunch of debug errors in the DA one, but I can't help you there.
well, ok then. Maybe you could reinstall the game? maybe some file got messed up in the process. Thats the last thing I can really offer you because the devs would know how to find the source of this problem.
wierd, well to start with, maybe a debug err from your last game? I don't have any idea how to help you but its standard procedure to post a debug err as often times the source of the problem can be found in there. You'd have to wait until tomorrow when the devs get back or at least a forumer with lots of technical knowledge.
well if you've never had a working installation for DA, either the CD or the download was corrupted somehow. The core ships are generally crap, although they can look pretty cool.
