LOL I am a New Zealander. I dont really know enough about the midwest (I live in Virginia, I think that is still "east") - I am guessing the Australian equivalent is Western Australia or maybe South Australia. The New Zealand grain belt is the Canterbury Plains in the South Island but comparatively that is probably the size of one of your backyards :)

Oh and horrorshow I live in the US but I am a kiwi
Is Captain > Commander > Lieutenant???
ACK! I hate it when stuff like that happens - like absent mindedly hitting yes to some pop up and finding out you have declared war...
And no need to despair just because you have fallen behind the Canadians. You are still a full TWO places ahead of The Great Washu Empire and its leader, irritable_rabit.

Do they have to pay maintenance on those?
Oh and on the water thing: "Robert Ehrlich, a physicist at George Mason University, expands on these ideas: "Do bathtubs drain in different directions in the two hemispheres? If you had a specially prepared bathtub, the answer would be yes. For any normal bathtub you are likely to encounter in the home, however, the answer is no. Thats the problem with written comments - it's so hard to get nuances of meaning. I apologise for missing it - all those comments I attributed to Americans are however real :)
I think a good number of people might know that is where LoTR was filmed (it used to be people would say "ohh land of Xena, but I guess Lucy Lawless has had her day). Other than that - Ozone Hole (Antartica) Tazmanian (sic) Devil - Tasmania (the other island off the coast of Australia) I think you will find the water flushes down unless you get a really yucky blockage - ewwww; (the northern hemisphere/southern hemisphere clockwise/anticlockwise thing on which they based an entir

Dont worry Jaime they are re-jigging the scoring system for 1.04 which will apparently de-emphasis size (which we all know isnt that important :)) and put more emphasis on the difficulty of play. It IS just a game - dont worry about scores - just have fun.

(how to you explain international finance to someone who needs to ask this question) What do we do to celebrate Thanksgiving in New Zealand? (hmmm, we are thankful they landed at Plymouth Rock and not the Bay of Islands) Isnt summer the same time in the southern hemisphere, its just cold? (Americans use the seasons as part of their calender and she assumed that, you know it

LOL - we always used to tell the Americans that we had to take turns in our village to run the treadmill to keep the generator going...
