Just having a starbase governor would help here - you would set a build queue as you would on a planet and every time a constructor arrives it advances the queue. This also leaves available the possibility of doing it manually. You could then just set a planet to build its queue of say constructor, defender, frigate, constructor etc and set a rally point of the starbase...

I couldn't be bothered to read all of the responses as I just finished a 13 hour shift. My 2c are that the forums become locked to only users with serial numbers (anyone can view them) and stardock staff. That would prevent anyone other than those with "valid" views on the game posting. There are plenty of other forums where non-owners can post and get responses from game owners (apolyton etc) and save this forum from being overrun.
Direct Debit is not the same as a debit card. DD is where you authorise a company to take funds directly from your bank account on a regular basis. It requires 14 days notice before the transaction is made and it takes 3 working days to clear. A debit card on the other hand is functionally the same as a credit card as someone mentioned but depending on the financial processing system in use it may not support the debit card prefixes. Every card that is issued has a prefix that is used to automat
Try the Sony website for that. Are you using a notebook? Usually notebooks with integrated drivers will not use the reference drivers from the chipset maker and have to use the system specific ones on the notebook maker's website.
I have been running it on a factory standard Toshiba Qosmio F10 without huge difficulties. I go get occasional crashes, less now than in the original retail collectors version since the updates and as the video drivers for this laptop are rather old I think that may be playing a large part. The sound DOES get very choppy (mainly the music) during the game but I have just turned off the music. I think this is down to the speed of the hard disk access as the game is using so much RAM that it is co
The large size of the carrier module would also offset the ability to be able to add defenses to the carrier thus requiring it be protected by offensive fighters (they would not be targeted as they are not the biggest threat and thus need no defenses)
Good luck
How much morale bonus are you getting from the stock markets themselves? I doubt it is enough to sustain a huge pop though...
The bonus only applies while the mini-freighter is in the sphere of influence of the modded starbase. Wait until it is and the trade screen ought to show the increased value.
Perhaps a turn confirmation button? Leave the button as it is, but once clicked it switches to a pair of buttons - confirm and cancel, with cancel being in place of the original turn button (also make it optional on the main options page) thus if it is accidentally clicked you can override it and if you click it on purpose just hitting Enter will make it continue...
Hey Brad! How was your holiday/WA trip? I didn't think you were back yet. Hope you had a good time
I think thye are both very pretty though my 2c would be to make the first one (the Concorde?) a cargo hull and put mount points between the two aft beams. That way cargo, troop or colony modules can go into a more streamlined hull without being shrunk to the size of a bathroom Either way, good job.
Yeah I miss that too. I remember using it but it must have been just as I was switching to GC2
I just want to meet the people on these planets who are cranking out a birth/growth-to-maturity rate of a few billion per planet EVERY WEEK!
You select with a left click and the right click the destination, unless you have done something to your mouse like set to southpaw mode. Are you a southpaw? These instructions apply if you have system defaults set up... You should either be able to left click on the survey ship or press tab until it selects it itself, then simply RIGHT click somewhere near your home planet and she will head on
ROBO, tried that, and it isnt working for me. I'm using firefox 1.5.0.3. Yourself?
What about a tech like Neutral Shipping? Start a game and max out your trade routes, make a note of all income and align yourself with evil or good. Then buy it from a neutral AI. Assuming the AI actually bothers to research it... Maybe if it was on god mode?
A small standalone ship designer or even just a ship viewer would be nice. That way you could run the app between games and view/delete any designs you no longer need. Or even archive them for later or for swapping between PCs.
I am really glad that function was added to 1.1 but I feel that it might be of more use as perhaps a series of checkboxes on the components list maybe? So you can click upgrade and then select which components you want to keep. That way if you ONLY want to upgrade the engines it can remove all engine modules but leave weapons. Thoughts?
Initiative was a factor in ship design in Stars! and it could make a huge difference if you had 2 powerful ships. I think initiative was controlled by ship speed though. Dont recall so I might have to fire it up again. Been a while hehe
OK, I have so far seen several posts about waypoints and as I generally understand them, waypoints are where you set a unit to goto A, goto B, goto C, goto final destination. Is this the case with GC2? Or are what people call waypoints actually rally points? If I am right, how are they implemented? I have had a bit of a click around (1.1) and can't see anything and after a quick search of the forums all I have turned up are discussions about what people would like them to do. <br
Does it work now? I have read in a few posts that it didn't...
Click quote, then select, copy and paste the original text between the (square bracket)I(squarebracket) and (squarebracket)/I(squarebracket).
And a debug.err would be nice...
