You'll be lucky to get Stardock staff on the weekend. Try in the daytime...in the USA. Also, maybe a player might help.

Thankyou for your service.

Check that you are using the latest video drivers for your system. You can search the forums for more info.

Also the "string not found error" was a recent problem killed in the latest beta version posted on Jun 2.

You might want to try the 1.20.011 Beta, (check the see pre-release version box in SDC) It is mostly stable and soved quite a few memory issues.

Good luck and thank you for your service to your country.

Your video drivers are nearly 3 years old, so they may not support DirectX 9.0c.
Your audio drivers are nearly as old. You should update both if possible.

Try the Sony website for that. Are you using a notebook? Usually notebooks with integrated drivers will not use the reference drivers from the chipset maker and have to use the system specific ones on the notebook maker's website.

Also, try setting your bideo to run at 32bit instead of it's current 16bit state. I remember hearing that this was a problem for some computers.   Best of luck!

Thanks anyway for your service. Make sure their is not too much gunk running in the background. CTRL-ALT-DELETE and see if anything is running in "applications"...shut them down. Under "processes" you can actually shut down all but "explorer.exe" and "system". This can sometimes cause instability so you may have to experiment to see what you can away with.

Write back if you can.

You can also use the run command on the start button to run the program "msconfig.exe" Under the startup tab their are options to uncheck pragrams which load on startup. If you uncheck some you need you will be prompted to restart them during your windows session. Also , watch your antivirus program during installation or when you start the game.

Have you gotten Stardock central to load and run properly?

As to the video drivers, the omega drivers at http://omegadrivers.net can reportedly be installed on integrated laptop systems, when the reference drivers will not. Might be worth a try!
