Yep same here. Plain and simple set a rally point for planet. When the blue "ship complete" button drops down into the right side of the screen right click it. Normally the ship would launch orbit but with Rally point set on planet the ship dissapears. This happens me all the time with latest patch.

I might be wrong about this, but I think that some of the influence starbase spamming might be for the purpose of increasing range. Latest patch pretty much fixed this for me. Then again I did all this stuff too: - Increased my virtual memory to 2G - Updated my 3D card drivers to the latest After the patch and these changes the game has not crashed on me even once. Before I got 5-8 CTD a day.

Iam bit of crossroads with this guestion. I like the extra action that the cultural borders bring. Example I had weak military and the other races started to pop bases on my cultural zone. Maybe, bear with me here, you are pulling down the wrong diplomacy box. I did that once, pulled down their diplomacy box which only had a few races, then i pulled down mine and it had all the races. I picked the one I wanted them to attack and they accepted. And did. Could it really be this? If so it´s very odd logic to me. Iam no
Yes I was thinking about the close thing too, but nobody was close to Drengi and there was no alliances between any of the civilizations. This is like the whole "how to get alliances" stuff all over again. Not to sound too disapointed but there should have been documentation about these things It was in the middle of the game and everybody had met everybody, so that can´t be the issue.
With the latest patch GC2 is looking sweet but I have one concern. When I use diplomacy to get a friendly race to attack another I usually cannot. This is because the Attack box usually don´t have all the civilizations in it. I was having tought time in one game and thought to get another civ to attack Drengi (suprise suprise ) but could not since there was no attack option for Drengi!
I think all the abilities work, social bonuses did not work in earlier builds but do work on current 1.0X.10 . This is as far as I know
On inteligent AI uses more algorithms to play better aka it counterstrikes your weapons by researching defence against em etc. Also on Inteligence AI does not get any economical bonuses or minuses.
You select the Place rallypoint button from the left side of your UI, place it on the map, give it a name and choose what kinda rallypoint it will be. Select Normal, Fleet or (cant remember ) and and press SET. Now you have a working rallypoint. On manual (pdf atleast) page 16, you find a picture. The rallypoint button is the number 8.
Iam sure already mentioned many times but we REALLY need a aption to turn on/off starbase influence. Especially with constructors, you can imagine and probably know how frustrating it is to save a game place a starbase just so that its influence is 1 tile away from you planet etc. Also why not show when double clicking a starbase what components could be added to the base and not just how much space it has?
I think the only way to archive this is to choose better Racial Color. I have same problem with Yor for example, that deep purple is hard to see against blank background.

Hey there. This might seem moronic to some, but I did not figure this one out. For example we have Engine techs that give you new engines but also +10 speed. What is this +10 speed, is it % or what? I have noticed when I build a ship and in designer it says it will move 7 tiles per turn, but in reality it can go 9 . Same goes for lifesupport techs. They also give example +10 boost , does this new tech also improve older ships
Frogboy, in my last game with AI set to Inteligence. My arch nemesis Yor had constructed factory on +300% research tile and again builded a farm on +100% manufacturing tile

I like the new shipyard upgrade that removes all the space taking pieces from the ship, good job on that. I know some people like to name their ships with a unique way but I still would like that when upgrading ships their names would change to new one too. Another major issue which I hope is fixed soon, is that if you give ships to another civilization, they don´t use em at all. I mean I gave 20 ships to minor race dark Yor. They have 10 Dr
I installed Catalyst 6.2 and 1.0X and in the new game I started there were city lights on planets. Not all of em, so I suspect there is something wrong in the code still? Frogboy: I sended you a debug.err where you suspected there would be crash on some races random event. After I installed 6.2 catalyst and updated my audio drivers I haven´t had any CTD, but then again Iam playing on completely new race Thalans. Just thought to let you know as it can be the drivers doing the CTD too
Hey Frogboy. The last game where I had really bad CTD issues was as Iconians, that debug.err is from that game. I have had similiar CTD with humans and yor too. It very well might be somekinda random event thing since I only get CTD when turn is changing, not ever has GC2 crashed on me example in fleet battle or during turn. I try to get more of these crashes to happen and post the debug.err of em too.

No fancy descriptions needed I guess. Today alone I have had 4 CTD with 1.0X.009 and all of em happened when I pressed the SAVE design button in shipyard menu.
