I actually did not ever have this problem with earlier versions. Iam not exactly how this appeared but I just started a new Large map game with 1.0X and for some reason my planet Earth cannot construct any ships. What ever ship I choose it always informs that it takes 0 weeks to finish but it never does. I have the save game, where should I send it so stardock can confi

I feel for stardock about these issues since they must be very hard to spot. Some games have more of these "bugs" that slip by QA without notice, some of the games have fewer. What I want to point out is the quick action stardock took to fix these issues. I mean it took 3 days to get the first major issue fixed how long it took with Civ4? It took a month and then another month to come by with a second patch. I think we are in good hands here when it comes to support. Lol Ci

What does trade embargo actually do? There was no mention at all in the games manual about Trade Embargo, and atleast forum search cannot find any topic about it.

- In trade route screen it would be nice, when you select a route it would be highlighted in the little map next to the routes. - When you give your race an custom name it should read in the games fleets also. Example I have named my Yor civilization to Cylons. Now when I create a fleet its still called Yor Fleet *** when it should be Cylon Fleet ***.

The trade goods bring civilization wide bonuses. If you trade em, the other civilizations get the bonuses for ever. You can trade your trade good for many civilizations. And yes you will always have the trade good bonus, even if you trade it to other civs. This is how I understand it. Edit: Damn this forum is slow and buggy as hell

erm... so to clarify, trade route profit from Economic StarBases work only if the sphere of effect covers the trade-route start/end planet? Edit: Just tested this out and it seems the economic star bases influence sphere does not have to cover the incoming/outgoing planet. Yes could somebody clarify this up. Does the Economi

Found a new bug I think. I was doing diplomacy with another race and tryed to offer -33 fund to them. Game froze up completely and I had to cntrl-alt-del and shut down galciv2.exe .

Yes I felt too stupid to ask about this one, but actually I dont have a clue how to improve relationships. I have given em cash, tech and ships and no dice. Maybe somebody could give us a hint how to properly get a alliance going with alien race. Thanks Also somebody could answer a obvious one too. What exactly "Trade embargo" do? Not 100% if this is covered in manual as Iam not home right now to check it out.

I 4th This is a necesity at the moment when AI sends it suicide transports and constructors at will. I try to keep up with it, but some of em always slip by. Myros, you should write this into the brads suggestions stickyes if not alrdy there.

- Tooltip as mentioned earlier should be shown quickly. - Launch all ships in orbit is a good one, but I would like even more to be able to ctrl-left click ships in orbit and launch em with launch button. - diagonal scrolling - show time to destination and little trail where ship is going with autopilot. atleast show time of arrival would be welcome. - "I also would love to see some sort of "area of effect" circle when building starbases. I try to maxi

Yep got the same thing here. I hope this does not happen in Inteligent difficulty. Then again it could be normal, as brad said, AI is dumb on <inteligent. Playing at bright AI at the moment and AI has been creating some fleets, but still those undefended troop transports keep on coming. I hope this is not the case with Inteligent, if so, I consider it a flaw in AI.

Yes somebody wiser should definetly explain the weird logic behind the % numbers My approval rate is showing aroung 77% but when I do the match with the given pop up scores I should have approval around 20 or so % Edit: forums are acting all weird again, saw just th

After couple hours of gaming I destroyed a Mine and moved my own constructor on the mineral. I got the normal build star base options: influense, commercial and military. On next turn AI brought its own constuctor on the mineral and builded a mine. I saved and reloaded and after that I could build the mine. There is another bug thats been killing me, it seems my units forgot their orders example Guard every single turn. Ther

Actually I had a question about the activation. Does activation do something else besides it enables you to download updates? (had slight problems with activation due to two accounts, fixed now) Another guestion, does archiving pack only the game files or does it include your account info as well?

Ok this is how I understanded Brads mail, correct me if Iam wrong. You can have the game on multiple machines but only one can be active at any given time. Does this mean the game logs into your dabase or in some other way connects to internet when the game is booted? Also I understanded this only affects the downloaded version. Does it mean that game installed from CD doesnt check internet connection? Sorr

Spotted this from paradox forums: http://www.pcgameworld.com/reviews/gamereview.php/id/889/ Not a bad score at all, considering the only low aspect they could find was missing Multiplayer game.

Not sure which Iam waiting for more. GalCiv2 or my new Radeon X1900XT card. Probably GalCiv2 Can´t wait to install em both and try GalCiv2 on my projector with 100" screen. My projector lamp is moaning for mercy alrdy But basicly waiting for GalCiv2 has been mostly finger nail eating

I have the same issue, although I did change my emails to one singe address before buying GalCiv2 I still get this error. I guess your lucky since I did not even get that auto email you wrote about. But Iam confident the game will work on 21th even without this activation thing. They did say that things will be working even with different emails didin´t they? I pray to god Iam right <b

Frogboy/Draginol, any idea when we will be seeing 1.01 patch for box version of the game? I pre-ordered here in europe and will be getting my game at 24th or 27th. Or then again I can download the patched digital version with my ID key right? Iam also curious about StarDocks patching mechanism in general. I jumped the bandwagon with GalCiv2 so I don´t know how often you released a patch or how many for GalCiv1. Do you tend to do couple mega patches or do you release s

Not sure if this has been discussed before but this seems like the right topic to ask. Lets say a ship has laser guns in its frontal department pointing forward. In the combat movie does this ship actually turn pointing to the enemy vessel before it fires or can it fire 360 degrees so to speak? Just asking since some screenshots suggest that the ships can fire from what ever angle no matter how they were "designed".

As reply to original post I see your point clearly. I kinda ruined Civ4 experience for myself . I read all the guides I could find and pretty soon I was kicking AI around easily. As this was not enought our Multiplayer games became really brutal as everybody perfected their gaming skills. I admit Civ4 was a better game for me before I learned all the trick to win AI. Hopefully this doesn´t happen with GalCiv2
