I think people against multiplayer should choke and die (froginol excepted, of course). Hey, you asked .

If you think about it, its not THAT unexpected- the races already had contact with one another, its just that it was really expensive to travel between the stars.
Frankly, guys like that tend to not be very popular. Military aggression is just one factor. http://www.solidsharkey.com/ur-quan04.html
For the love of sweet merciful heaven, I implore you to either vote "yes" or don't vote at all . Skew the results!
Aside from the fact that Froginol doesn't want it in there, I can really only see planetary bombardment making it into the game if they implemented some method of raising the PQ of a planet (beyond the limitations of the orange/red/yellow squares). Otherwise, use of these tactics would slowly reduce the habitable sections of the universe... Also, raising the PQ of a planet in order to repair damage from PQ lowering invasion tactics is a pet
"Bigger ships need bigger components" Which makes sense for the engines, armor, and perhaps sensors to a certain extent. I can but wonder about the weapons.
Generally if it involves messing with ingame attributes by editing files, its cheating. This goes for all games.
Anyone? Bueller?
I coulda sworn that Froginol posted that creativity raises the chance of you getting a tech upon capturing an enemy planet- the "next technology free" thing is a result of excess research points, not creativity.
Maybe its a result of the tweaking to diplomacy - diplomacy now gives a bonus to your relations with other races. Since the Drengin typically do not research diplomatic techs (or at least, not very much), they would tend to be most effected by this change.

Ya I noticed this too... not really sure what the reasoning was- maybe it was to prevent the bug that occurs when you cancel the starport while something is in the queue, thus causing the colony management screen to eternally show one colony as building whatever was in the queue in the time.
Nano rippers FTW!
Franco, uhm, its a FACT that the influence resources are ridiculously powerful- have you even played this game? I don't know why you seem to have it out for the updates that play a large part in the popularity of this game... are you actually an agent hired by a rival company to screw up stardock ?
Yeah, why not have Froginol stop releasing tweaks- hell, while we're at it, why not abandon the stardock business model altogether! Then when the company turns into a flaming wreck, we can all thank Franco for his brilliant idea . Seriously, the constructor thing is a major pain in the ass, the ability to automate it somehow would be a godsend.
"so where do alien populations come from?" When a mommy alien and a daddy alien love each other very much.... or when a mommy alien gets very, very drunk... Actually, nevermind, just ask your parents. And yeah, so long as they learn the language and are followers of our culture, let the Mex- err aliens in!
Don't use the L word here. *crosses self* ALL HAIL THE CHURCH OF GATES! ALL HAIL THE CHURCH OF GATES!
Really? Then how come I can I can crack open a text file, fiddle with the contents, save it, and then re-open it again and not have to reboot ?
Why can't it be both ? And in reply to #6: Egads, its like an intergalactic version of STARFORCE!
Both . I research all the way up to discovery spheres just for the Omega Research Center project. +50% research is a lot, especially with Neutrality Learning Centers.

This is normal- and I guess its kinda to be expected- its unlikely that the screening process for people who have access to high technology in such precarious times would somehow miss a trait like "so absolutely sociopathic that he/she will sell out his own race in favor of the promise of reward from beings from another planet". Thats one thing that always bugged me about Moo2. How exactly can a human impersonate a Melkar? How would one fi
Sorry, all you guys who thought it meant porn even more hardcore than XXX.
GASP! You mentioned "That game which shall not be named". No, not Starcon 3 .
I DO miss the intricate interactions between technologies and combat from Moo2.
