Take a que from ID software's older titles, such as Quake: There is no limit to the number of patches that can be released.

I may be way off here, but I suspect that the "string of lucky rangers" thing is experienced by people who are outgunned militarily and have the "luck" attribute.
Thats great, but I still wish that either: A: Weapons would be turreted or B: Ships would orient themselves so that their weapons are facing their target when they fire.
Whats all that stuff in the main window? Were you fighting around a planet with rings or something?
When I choose luck (+25% luck) as one of my custom race's abilities, and I also choose the Universalist political party (+25% luck is one of their bonuses), I noticed that the overview tab lists my race's luck bonus as +25%. Shouldn't it be +50%? Is the summary wrong, or do the bonuses not stack?
2 things; First, how do I reset the racial bonuses in the race selection screen? Second, whats the deal with the search function on this web page. I type in a search term, click search, and.... nothing. ?? Shouldn't I either get some search results or a page that says "no search results"?
Some of it is purchased from other countries. It's not like they have a bunch of Evangelions or Mobile Suit Gundams running around to kick Godzilla in the nertz. Congrats, you've managed to make me laugh out loud. -- Anyway, I figured that either A: They spawn late and therefore are given money to compensate.<
Lets say I have one planet thats very small, say, 5 tiles, HOWEVER it has two tiles with very large bonuses to manufacturing. On the other hand, I have another planet with a whole lot of usable tiles, but no bonuses. Is there some way to tell *at a glance* which planet has the greatest potential for a given area of development? Frankly, I'd rather not have to whip out the calculator every time it comes time to plop down
When I plan to make an Economic Capital on a given planet, should I try to put as many Finanical buildings as possible on it, or should I sprinkle in 1 farm, 1 embassy, 1 mine, etc? (And no, ETC does not count the specialized buildings... the Omegas for example) I realize that it would probably be a good idea to make factories on the planet (though I wonder about the wisdom of later dismantling them to make room for more Financial buildings
Ahh, thought so. Oh well. Also, if I put a special building upon a tile with a bonus, what happens? For example, lets say I build a Manufacturing Capital on top of a tile with a bonus to manufacturing. Do I get a bonus equal to that which I would get if I had simply put a factory on it, a bonus greater than if I had simply put a factory on it, or no bonus at all? Also, where is the population cap listed?
What do you usually build on your home planet, on your first turn? What about a newly colonized planet? What is a good method of deciding where to put your capitals (manufacturing, etc)? I mean, in Galciv 1 it was pretty easy: find which colony produces the most of whatever the given capital affects, and put it there (for example, find which of your colonies produces the most, manufacturing-wise, and put the manufacturing capital
In games like this, I have always been very fond of choosing races/attributes that grant me superior research capabilities; However, I've noticed that being the best researcher matters a lot less than one might initially suspect, because the AI trades techs as if they were cheap Pokemon cards. In other words, by the time I've researched a certain level of techs, I find that every other civilization has half a dozen or so techs tha
