But won't the UK version have the EEEEEEVIL extra vowels (armoUr, etc)?

They say, "It's there, we just can't find it yet." -- If you want to avoid war weariness, you should be able to claim that another race has secret dark matter weapons of mass destruction and use that as a pretext to invade them.
The Altarians, the Drath, and the Terrans. Think of modern day parallels.
Shock and awe has yet to produce any (positive) results in the here and now, so you could argue that that aspect of the game is quite realistic .
The representations of stars are colored for your benefit, to reflect subtle differences in star composition that the human eye cannot ordinarily detect. .
I'm sure Bill Gates personally programs the updates, between his golfing and his swimming in his own private ocean .
This brings to mind the whole issue of how you can bend the very fabric of time/space to your will, but you can't repair the damage done to a planet by mass drivers. If warping reality as a method of propulsion is possible, how about terraforming? And I don't mean being able to use the red squares .
Wouldn't that make influence even more ridiculously powerful than it already is ?
Increases the odds of you getting better stuff from anomalies.
I guess you could always spam tiny ships in fleets to take maximum advantage of military starbase bonuses (bonii?)
Stop opening it through stardock. Mcafee doesn't like that little splash screen. Go to your galciv2 directory and run the exe .
You think THATS confusing, read the two blurbs on "galactic showcase". Does it improve diplomacy or influence ?
I figured that the flagship was designed with a very specific purpose (surveying/exploration). In order to create mass-producable, multi-purpose medium hulled ships, you need to do further research.
Yippie o_O?
Well in theory, the inside of the spaceship should be pressurized- I mean, whats the point of forcing people to wear space suits 24/7 while inside the ship for months on end (it takes some time to travel from place to place, even with hyperwarp 3)? How would they eat? Miniature airlocks? How would they sleep? I mean, they could have some sort of emergency system (like in team fortress classic.... blue team scores... nerve gas released... secure protective suits
Bleh, this sounds too much like racing games, where the card in the lead is slowed down (or every other car gets a speed bonus). I rather like the idea of different technologies clashing. I want the new drengin superlaser to be the terror of the cosmos- that is, until I unveil the latest incarnation of my missile tech. Besides, you can only learn so much from observation anyway.
"You're mixing your consoles. The DS has a stylus; the PSP only has one in the fevered dreams of Sony executives. " Few things make me laugh out loud. This is one of them. And btw, there was no NOD in red alert- well, except in a cinematic.
The caps lock key is on your left, between tab and shift. Oh wait, that wasn't your question. Nevermind.
Morale is better. Think of all the relatively small planets you colonize in the course of a game. Will pop growth help those? Not much, if at all. Will morale? Yup. A morale bonus can keep those colonies from dragging you down and make it easier to get pop growth bonuses from high morale.
Space program? Aren't you guys in dire straits about now? Should you really be whiling your time away on Galciv2 ?
On the other hand, how would that apply to evil or neutral races getting Arnorian Battle Armor? Or Subspace Rebounder technology?
My advice: Play as the Yor for the miniaturization bonus, max out econ, morale, and sensors, and pick federalist for your party.
Play an evil race on a large map and find out for yourself > . No, you don't NEED to in order to encounter them, but it will be so much more satisfying (for me) if you do.
Depends on which Gundam series you're talking about.
(referring to Takari's post) Thats strange, I wonder if its intentional that conquered planets show an increase but do not get extra tiles.
