also bei Vorlonen/Schatten macht es vielleicht Sinn (so man nicht später eh noch Jewelries dafür hat um die Schiffe noch mehr unzudesignen), bei den anderen Rassen finde ich es nicht so sinnvoll. Da stören die Ausrüstungsteile auch nicht so doll. bei den Erdzerstörern und Jägern zum Beispiel finde ich es ziemlich cool wenn sie aus den richtigen Waffenmündungen schießen (am besten mit Massetreibern ^^ ). Klar, beim Schattenschiff ist das wurscht. ^^

bin mir nicht völlig sicher, glaube das hängt mit der Option "Show Map on Back" bei den Texturen ab. Diese sollte deaktiviert sein. ansonsten bei nicht richtig dargestellten Texturen beachten, dass GC2 bzw. das X-Format nicht mit "tiled"-Texturen klarkommt, also auch die beiden Häkchen bei "Tile" wegnehmen bei den Bitmap-Optionen des Materials. Dann das Model nochmal untersuchen, dort wo die Textur nun nicht dargestellt ist muss das UVW Mapping am besten durch UVW Unwrap an

iam re-evaluating the ship sizes in comparison to each other as I play through a game right now as Earth Alliance. I just dont have really time to play much at all so Iam only at medium hulls right now (will see Nova and Omega when I researched large hulls ^^). Iam currently only doing 1 ship per week + modifications to ships already done if necessary. free 3D Modeling software: http://www.blender.org/cms/Home.2.0.html the tech tree is in here: \GalCiv2\Data\English\TechTree.xml for tech requirements they use the "Requires"-Tags. Dont know if you can add multiple techs as requirement though. At the moment every tech only has 1 pre-requirement. In doubt you will have to chain the requirements. if its a planetary improvement for instance you then also have to add it to the PlanetImprovements.xml.

nope, placing and orienting the hardpoints correctly is alot harder for jewelry than just for adding weapons/shield/etc especially if you want to be able to recreate the full ship models from the jewelry-parts

I got lots of models for the Drakh too (more than for shadows or vorlons). For some reason the earth ships are almost to dark to see, except for the Excalibur which isn’t so dark. ya, I think overall the influence-idea is pretty cool, but if you play an isolationistic race (for instance like the Romulan Empire of Star Trek) you dont allow any foreign influence, nor do you spread your culture to other worlds through any means beside conquest and espionage. so imo there should be a way to become completely immune to enemy influence (at the cost of your influence and the cash generated by it), for instance through another form of government.

hab gerade die Olympus fertiggestellt und hochgeladen, müsste demnächst in der Library auftauchen. Ja, die Modelle da oben sind alle aus dem FS2 Mod. Als nächstes werde ich mich am Warlock versuchen und danach fange ich erstmal mit den Centauri an (Omega X und ähnliche "Spezialschiffe" lasse ich erstmal liegen, erstmal die regulären Schiffe jeder Rasse fertigstellen).

GF6800 GT here, np with GC2 either. however in DAoC and D&D Online in a small set of zones/instances my system freezes with some graphical errors (then the monitor shuts down and I have to hit reset). In DAoC its in the battlegrounds (Thidranki/Molvik) and in DDO its in the outside hack&slay instances. maybe designed that way, but we wont know until Stardock says something about it. as for the transport stuff I dont know. try to add the Nova as empty Cargo-Hull and then add troop modules yourself to see if it works at all. btw, prior to the release of the Omega Class Destroyers the Novas where the main capital ship of the Earth Force, though not that many survived the Earth-Minbari War.
