The beta includes a scenario editor. Does anyone know how to use it or how to use a created scenario? Thanks

Does *anyone* know how to use a created scenario? Thanks
Hi Everyone, I was curious, once I create a scenario, where to I place the .scenario file in order to use it? Thanks
Cool! I actually stumbled upon the version before the announcement, very exciting indeed! Thanks
Not much I can add I guess. I hate copy protection as much as the next guy. I love the fact I can fire up GC2 without a disk in the drive. As for piracy, I do not do it. I for one would really love to try out Sins of a Solar Empire but I will not download an illegal copy to try it out. I hope they will have a demo soon.
Our alternative to DRM (SSD - Secure Software Deliver) never gets much mention even though I suspect that the future is going to be some combination of the two anyway.
Would I be reading too much into this by stating that this sounds like the current model you employ will gravitate towards implementing some form of DRM into stardock central? Thanks
My 2 cents.... SDC is not steam. I hate steam as much as the next guy and have quit purchasing software that requires it. What I disliked most was that it was always there and it had to be there in order to play the game(s). SDC is not like that, it is not always on and neither it or the internet are required to run the game. That your account and password is transmitted in the clear is a little disturbing and something I did not know but I see that as more of a risk to
MMOG - yeck!!! I dont mind paying 30, 40 or even 50 (if really good) for a game but trying to charge a monthly fee there after is something I will never do. Buying water in a bottle is one thing but MMOG is where I draw the line ;)
Can hardly wait for the next beta! Sounds like it is going to be great. As for "sins", the jury is still out. I will have to try a demo first, it is a rare RTS that is able to grab and hold my attention. I pre-ordered GalCiv2-TA because I know I like the genre but RTS is a different story. As for this turn-based "4X fantasy strategy game", that sounds very interesting. Can anyone name another game that something like this would be like? I just never have heard of a tu
I do not think Stardock wrote SoaSE only published/distributed it. Am I wrong about that?
back to #2 it seems. Now just need a demo to try it out.
Wow, this sounds interesting. I guess you do not have a save game to share so that we can see this happen? Thanks
I hear you about getting burned, I have been upset by that in the past. Fortunately for me I do not buy many games anymore so unless it has a demo or it scores near maximum at several of the top tier review sites then I do not buy it. A good example is Oblivion which as far as I know does not have a demo but ranked high on all the review sites. So I bought it and have enjoyed it greatly. Of course the developer has a lot to do with it as well. Stardock makes great games, at least in
Well it certainly needs a demo before I will buy it, however I wont resort to stealing it. If they get a demo out there, great I will try and buy if I like. If not, then I simply wont buy and concentrate on GC2! Not having a demo is sort of like a movie being released without the reviewers getting an early viewing, it may indicate the quality.
I posted a incorrect statement about Sins so I have removed it. I did see the g4 movie, looks good. I assume there will be a demo so I can try that. Thanks
Looking forward to the next beta release! GalCiv2 is such a fun game. "Sins" might be okay but for me RTS never has the depth and feel of a real good TBS.
eh. It most likely is wonderful, if you are into that sort of thing, RTS. I prefer the TBS myself.
Ugh, I hate pay to play games. Bummer
I suggest you to read wiki a bit more carefully. In the lower half is a very specific statement: "Updated for newer versions of the game (DL 1.5 and DA)".
Yeah, good point. That part does seem to tell us what was updated (the new levels) for those releases. Not exactly relevant to the question I asked but that is okay. Faced with the lack of information to the contrary and the response of others I will assume that the levels defined in the wiki, while qualifying
Is there a "official" definition of what the various AI difficulty levels are (full algorythms, bonuses, etc) for the current version (1.8x) of GC2:DA? I ask because the wiki clearly states that it is only valid up to 1.31 so that would mean the manual is off as well. Is this information required to enjoy the game? Absolutely not! But it does add to the fun to know. Thanks!
In my current game when I go to research large scale building it shows the various ships designs that would be available once completed. Of course with eash ship design it lists the "x Other Techs Required". What is puzzling is that they all include "General Life Support" which I do not understand. I already have acheived Extended Life Support. What am I missing? Is this a bug or something? Thanks
Does it work if you right click on the stardock central icon, and select "run as administrator"?
Good tip! I tried that and it is running now, much further along than it was before. I did send an email to support as well but I was hoping the community would have a quick answer. Thanks
I have a new laptop with Vista Basic on it. When I try to install via stardock I get th following error (some paraphrasing): error installing galciv 2 C:\program files\stardock\totalgaming\galciv2\sdplugins\DXAxHost.dll 0|0 Access is denied Installation failed (29) Any ideas? Thanks
Its out!
I am confused as to what this means. Thanks
