That means every mod can be used? that's great. :D But I don't get that with the exploit. You can only trade if the text is green. When you try something like 20000 Influence for 1 technology it stays yellow. So how is it possible to exploit it at all? I have to admit that I was curious and tried the 1 Influence thingy - it worked, so maybe that was it. What do you thing about a warning? appearing whenever you do something the metaverse will recognize as cheating.

Before you say: search the board, I did that. :) According to some posts it could be the Terraformer Mod which caused the problem increasing Earth's PQ to 40. Ok, NOW I know it - would have been nice to knew that earlier. I thought all the things in the library were safe - obviously I was wrong with that. Therefore I have an idea: How about a rating system for everything in the library? Or just a big red flashy "Forbidden!" on all additions which are broken? Or at least a warni

Hey thanks a lot, this will make it much easier to find out, where's the corrupt file! No need to start the game and play 5 minutes for the first UP issue to appear. I'll check this as soon as I have some spare time. Although I have to admit, that I let myself buy Rise of Nations, therefore in the near future time will surely be a LIL bit exhausted. ("he said Jehova!" ...I know ;))

@Hawaii I've already reinstalled, I'm sorry. Next time I'll post it. :) @all I've checked the following Library Events - none of them caused a crash (at least, till now :)) and therefore they can be used. Ancient Age Android citywonders Diplomat Escape gtcolonyday01 gtrats01 IndustrialCity LettheRaceBegin lifeform Matrix storms sunflower Time Travel Vader Furthermore all technologies found in the library a

Thanks for your help, I did as you said, but it doesn't work. The savegame still crashes at the first UP-Issue and in a new game I've encountered a CTD when meeting the Altarian. I'll try a complete reinstall, then putting the things from the library one by one into the game to see which of them causes it to crash.

Maybe this has been asked before. Do you know why it crashes when the first UP issue should come up? I did not install the UP-Issue from the library, but nearly every event from there if this has anything to do with it(?). Is there anything I can do (e.g. deleting all new files (even though I have installed that many, so I don't know, what's from stardock and what's from the library), or do I have to install it anewly? thanks for your help!

@Moonmood Censorship IS censorship in any case. I don't think it's right - never. A government who does it, doesn't believe that the people are wise enough to distinguesh (sp?) between reality and game/novel/whatever. What's a democrazy worth it if the government doesn't trust in the people of it's country...? The argument, that people would kill other people because of games or books is completely nuts. Serial killers etc. kill other people because they can't see another way. This

I'd say people like Ulla Schmidt shouldn't be allowed to do politics in the first place... then: problem solved. What's needed is people with brains and the ability to think in different ways. 4D-thinking is the thing a politician should be able to do. Regarding banning, we should have politicians who arent' afraid to take some serious descisions: 98% of all serial killers eat bread! Let's ban bread! ~SDC~

After several hours of playing this seems to occur regulary. Try a restart of your computer, sometimes that helps. (and I'd recommend autosave more often than all 12 turns) ~SDC~

It seems clear that PQ + 'whatever' is the best, maybe we should now talk about the second best. ;) I like the combination of Soldiering, Bravery and Pop Growth. 30% in Soldiering means if you have 3 billion tax paying people you'll have 4 billion fighting people (I *think* this was written in the Survival Guide). The AI - at least in the beginning - doesn't like the idea of sending that many troop transports in your territory and therefore (often) he takes his war threads somwhere else

what balance problems would it cause? everyone has the same rules, so it shouldn't be that much of a problem. But I see, that we won't get it, whatever the reason is (maybe you should add this reason to the manual, IMHO), so I don't nitpick you with it anymore. ;) It's not as if it was a game stopper or something, so I just have to find a workaround. :) ~SDC~

It pays to be good :) just had this one, and I had only 39% of total votes, so I already thought about how to pay it - but then the Yor (random alignment) and the Altarian voted in favour of me. *smile* @Nirvana Since the U.P. was invented by the Earthlings, I suppose the prime directive was to ensure peace and love in the galaxy (something only humans could come up with. Maybe... :D). So even if Evil rules the Universe, it won't ever rule the U.P. (just my thoughts, don't know if

The main problem with moral at 50% (or even 52%) is that your pop will grow, as soon as you increase propaganda or build say a entertainment network, therefore it's possibly impossible to ever win an election, unless you shove away the unhappy people with transport ships. Or do I miss here something? If so: enlighten me please. :) ~SDC~

@Alf Even though I haven't plaid on painful yet, I have to ask: couldn't it just be, that you're better now, than in the beginning? Dealing with the morale issue is an aspect of the game. You've learnt to deal with it, therefore (of course) it isn't a problem for you anymore. That's what makes you an experienced player. But it doesn't nescessarily mean that the game is to easy on itself. I'm sure at "crippling" there are other issues you have to deal with. Otherwise said: If you wouldn't be

I did that already :) - but my question is, in what time will there be a solution? If a solution will come with the bonus pack 2, I'd say it would be a good idea, to simply patch it with the "money back" idea, till the *best* solution is programmed. Better a semi-solution which is better then status quo, than a best solution which is far away, IMHO. But however, I really just wanted to know, what the time shedule for this is. :)

As far as I was understanding the moral issue in the beginning, the problem was, that you increased your morale, the population grew and your morale decreased therefore. The only "solution" was to build transports and colony ships which is a bit strange IMHO. Right now I think the morality is excellent as it is. Maybe you guys are just to good? ;) Common, switch to incredible... :)

I know there is a thread regarding this, but I've never found a comment from the Dev's, therefore I ask seperately if this will be adressed, is in change, will come with the bonus pack #2 or what? Right now you lose money if you haven't got anything to build. Is this really meant to work that way? I don't understand why we're searching a "best solution", just give the spent bc back and the problem is solved, isn't it? :)

With this calculation method only games on giga maps count as interesting data, while playing on medium or small maps won't give you much. I don't think one can say that the strategies on smaller maps wouldn't be as interesting to incorporate in the AI. Either make it so, that long lasting games give you a higher score, but then simply add every game - OR use this square root system but then don't count the length of a game. But mixing both methods will always encourage players to send
