I use it exclusively. I tried the zoomed out strategic view a few times and hated it. I don't need to be able to see every ship in motion at the same time and for everything else, there's a zoomable minimap. Then again, I'm one of those people that can keep a map of a Wal~Mart in their head, and tell you within a few feet where to find something.
Agreed, I couldn't stand the zoomed out view. Always up close and p

Ah, weird. The word that I realized last year I had been spelling wrong for God knows how long. Since I was amazing at spelling when I was younger, this was especially shocking. Then I had an epiphany: The "I before E" rule had steered me wrong in my lifetime more than it had steered me right. I remember being 10 or so and spelling Chief "Cheif" because "it was after C." Which raises the question, when does the after C part of the rule apply. Well, obviousl
Great, you guys get me all hopeful, so I lift up my shade thinking "Snow?" and no, no snow. Just freezing cold weather.
Man, why'd I have to watch ABC last night? Yes, Charlie Gibson is a much more likeable anchor than Wolfie, but CNN had holograms!
Well, nothing gamechanging yet, at least. I set up a map on CNN.com of what I thought was a feasible tie situation (269-269) to track whether either candidate started making a break away, and so far no states have switched from that projection. Edit: Er, ABC is now projecting Obama as winning Ohio, which is pretty gamechanging. I really can't see how McCain can make up that loss, since Obama already has the majority of the states he needed. Granted, CNN hasn't projec
Well, both sides have used anti-intellectualism in this election cycle, which is one of the really scary things. Certainly, you see a lot more of it on the conservative side, but what sticks out in my memory (maybe because I took it a little personally) is Hillary Clinton's "I'm not going to throw my lot in with economists" line. I am an econ major, so I might be a little biased, but to me this was tantamount to a doctor saying "Putting a band-aid on that wound won't stop the infe
Been test-driving PM2008's demo this weekend. Man my PC sux, the game is fairly laggy. Doesn't look good for me to buy it. Hopefully things look up for me to get into the beta for not-MoM w/ this POS rig.
Ooh, I'd been wanting to try that out. I've got it downloading right now, and all I can say is this: WorthPlaying is the worst download site ever. First link I clicked on "Download this game." Linke
Hmm, my post got lost on the non-existant page 7, but I can see it when I hit the last button...dang forum monkeys.
Well, since it looks like my game will be counted, guess I'd better officially make a submission: Character: Evil Buggers Years: 3 Alignment: Good Race: Drath Victory Type: Beyond Mortality <div class="MoreCharacterInf
Well, I can sum up my emotions in one word right now: DOH!!! After my high moment of completing my first suicidal victory, I quickly came on to the forums, which I haven't done (due to midterms) for the past 2-3 weeks, other than quick checks to reassure myself that a game wasn't required til the 19th. Upon reaching said forums, I did a quick review of this thread, seeing what I had missed, only to realize that Ferrel had posted a tech victory. Again, as I said, DOH!
Just a quick question, since I didn't notice it in the listed settings: Is Blind Exploration on or off? This round looks like a lot of fun, can't wait to get some games in!
I'll tack on a post here, just to see what happens when we reach page 4. Mysteries like this always intrigue me.
I'm definitely in, gives me a reason to take a break from messing around with characters in NWN (the downside of being an altoholic, I've got tons of characters, but the farthest I've gotten in the OC is chapter 2...)
Since the quote feature is messed up for me at the moment: "I read a couple Star Wars books back in the late 90s...ones that had Grand Admiral Thrawn in them. They werent that great from what I remember. What do you think of the ones you are raeding now?" Hmm, Timothy Zahn's books (The ones with Thrawn) were probably my favorite. A lot of times I have trouble rereading books, because I just want to skip to the good parts, but I've had no problem rereadin

If it's a shadow, next time a picture is to be taken with a backdrop, make sure there is at least an arms length from that object. It'll help remove any back shadowing. If it's hair....mullet much? ~looks at everyone staring at him~ What? Can't a werewolf have a hobby?
The first time I saw this p
I dunno, I think my favorite movie with Samuel L. Jackson would be Jurassic Park. Granted, I didn't even remember he was in that until I turned on the tv a half hour ago and was like "Sweet! Jurassic Park!!!", but still...
Which is really weird, considering you two didn't respond immediately after this was posted.
~Lucas had originally planned 9 movies. He should have stopped after making 3-6....the movies for 1-3 were terrible.
Yeah, and I don't even know anyone who's actually seen Clone Wars (/shudder). It's kind of sad when the long time fans won't even touch a movie (and I definitely consider myself a long time fan. I had read all of the novels until the Yuuzhan Vong started trashing everything, and I tr
Yeah, it works for me. You've got the "Digi*cons" on the first page, and then on the next page you've got "Classic." Yay! [e classic]:congrat:[/e]
God, I love the Birdcage. Incredibily hilarious movie. "No good?" "Actually, it's perfect. I just never realized John Wayne walked like that."
Yeah, this version has some changes that just...don't make sense to me. Light Orange on white? Not a good idea, gets really hard to read. The quotes? White on baby blue??? Really hard to read against a black background, the boxes don't look great either. Plus, I'm still trying to figure out why Ferrel's spacing looks so nice, whereas when I tried to do the same thing, it turned out crap...(I even copied it to Word, changed it to single spacing (thinking t
Dangit, why am I always last minute??? (And when I say always, I don't just mean for the MVL, I mean always ). Anywho, the necessary info: Character: Evil Buggers Years:5 Difficulty: Crippling (I stepped it up from Painful!!!
Actually, I noticed fairly early on that there was a "diminishing returns" effect to the military rating. Granted, I've never played on the scale where building more ships could cause the score to go down, but around when I started using the SCC to boost my military score, I noticed that each "jump" in my military score was slightly smaller than the one before it. I saw it as slightly annoying, as my opponents military would be steadily increasing, so my periodic jumps would eventually not be
I'm sorry, it has to be said... The cake is a lie.
Sorry, Team. I had a game lined up that I thought I could get in, but I started working at a new job recently and found my gaming time diminished. Being used to procrastination, I said to myself, "Hey, no problem, I've got Tuesday and Wednesday night to finish the game," but, alas, things didn't work out as planned in that game. Anywho, I feel like an ass for not completing a viable game, and the only consolation at this point is that the other team members pulled through, we got the 4 necess
