It will be turn based. Why should it be any different?

I had the laptop cleaned a week ago if you are wondering.
By the way, here is the Direct X output. This may help in finding the problem: Machine name: MSI-GT660 Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601) Service Pack 1 (7601.win7sp1_gdr.110622-1506) Language: English (Regional Setting: English) System Manufacturer: Micro-Star International System Model: MS-16F1 BIOS: Default System BIOS Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU Q 740 @ 1.73GHz (8 CPUs), ~1.7GHz Memory: 6144MB RAM<br /
All temperatures are under 100 degrees C. But I thought it will not be the overheat problem since Galactic Civilizations 2 is able to work and the Laptop, at that time, was hotter than the times that the crashes occurred with Skyrim and the two Valve games.
I do not know if this is the right place to ask this question. But I have a problem that I do not know the answer to that you guys maybe can answer for me. It seems that my Laptop, while playing games like Skyrim, Team Fortress 2, and Portal 2, tends to turn off (like a shutdown) and refuse to be turned back on for a couple of minutes afterward. I asked around and the people told me it might be an overheating problem. The problem with the statement is that the laptop is able t
Final question: Will changing the personalities of the default races (Like changing the Drengin's personality from Drengin to something like Generic personality) trip the cheat flag?
So, I decided to join the Metaverse to post some games. One problem: everytime I try to log in, the game crashes. Here is the debug: Debug Message: Version v2.04 Twilight of the Arnor last updated on: Tue Nov 1 11:59:59 2011 Debug Message: Checking DX Version. How about custom civilizations then with standard tech trees?
What about custom tech-trees, improvements, and ship modules? Will they raise the flag? Also, how about modifying the individual base technologies, like what the Space Weapons fix and Tech-Tree mods do?
I have a question: Can you submit games that has been played in Twilight of Arnor or it needs to be Dark Avatar?
Like the title says: What will disqualify my game from the Metaverse?
I was playing as a custom race at the time, if you are wondering. But is this a once per game event in any rate?
You know, just as I thought I saw everything, Galactic Civilizations continue to surprise me. Just now, I have decided to crank up the taxes to 100%, thinking what is the worst that can happen. Whoops! A handful of my planets revolted and formed the United Clans! Don't worry, all of their planets were recaptured, but that event is an eye opener. Note to self, don't do that again! Did the United Clans appear in any of your games?
Although here is a tip that no one brought up yet: You can cheat the system by having ships with fleet warp bubbles in your fleets, by doing so, your ships can move up to 8 squares per turn, instead of the usual 5. Don't ask why, but it works.
Merry Christmas!
So, will it get passed or not? I'm really hoping it is not going to get through.
There are some great mods to help you out: https://forums.galciv2.com/400674 and https://forums.galciv2.com/405819 These mods will turn those lame AI's to a real threat!
I believe extreme planets (planets that require tech to colonize) is dependent on the Habitable Planets setting. And the Asteroids depend on the Star Count.
Yes, you can make ships move faster by strapping on extra engines on a ship, progress into the engine technologies, or making your units move with a ship carrying a Fleet Warp Bubble projector. Note: ships in a fleet will move at the rate of the fleet's slowest ship.
Look in the tech tree and find a yellow technology series known as Trade. You should be able to research it after you research Diplomatic Relations if you are playing with most tech trees. Alternatively, you could take the Super Trader ability and get all three Trade technologies right off the bat.
Just make sure that on larger maps, you get several more of them since otherwise, it will take forever for all of them to develop all of the asteroids.
Me, I usually go for mass driver at first but that is because I was playing with the Iconian tech tree and the Scatter Blasters make good n' cheap weapons. After I research Scatter Blasters III, I will then go with any of the weapons type with is the least popular with the computer players. Although the beam weapons I'm not too keen on since the time to get past Kinetic Streams III and Advanced Beam Weapons are huge (about the same amount of time to research Mas
I was wondering, what are your favorite weapons to arm your ships with in many of your games?
I would disagree with starting planet-side and trensencing into space. That would not make the game Galactic Civilizations would it. Besides, I think it has been tried with in Spore and it was found to be a bad idea.
I have a question: It is absolutely necessary for your home world to be intact for your civilization to survive? In other words, do you automatically lose if you lose your homeworld? Because it seems like if you blew up your own homeworld with a Terror Star, you get this funny message:
