There is such an option. You can access it by clicking the governor button within the details sub-screen of the planet screen. As far as i know, that option doesnt have a global effect, so you will have to configure every planet of yours singly. Good luck.

even though i'm not in The High Command Hegemony does my vote still count? Im not in The High Command Hegemony either, my PM, although rather cheekily formulated, was recognized nonetheless ...and replied to in a refreshingly humorous way. Being in a specific empire doesnt qualify or disqualify anyone for voting, as MottiKhan already pointed out. <
Great guide, MottiKhan. Thanks for the effort you put into this, a very helpful post and a surprisingly altruistic act from a member of the "Tyranny of Evil". Two thumbs up.
Thanks for being willing to make this commitment folks. Certainly all of you would make a fantabulous addition to the Metaverse Council. Now i know this aint the lottery, but good luck to you candidates anyway. Also, thanks to the MVC for encouraging folks that are new to the game and/or the Metaverse to participate in the nomination and election process. Its good to know that al
That reply was ment purely to Neilo, a fellow Australian who (probably) will understand were that came from. Soccer is Awsome, it doesn't suck! No hard feelings then. But please understand, where i live the term "wog" is quite an extreme racial slur. So, those last three words of your comment realy upset me. If no offense was meant, none is taken ...retroactively. And since you actually like Soccer you cant be a bad person after all. <img src=
can you take the info from my profile? Just post your game stats (date, race etc.), the game then can be easily looked up in your Profile. My contribution, with the Iconians as promised. Huzzah, its a victory ...my fastest evva too! <
Is that DROOO? Woa, she is your EX?! Boy, she sure got some ugly tattoos. EDIT: @Fate: Your reply, is the single most insulting and racist thing ive read so far on the forum here. Dont be that guy. If you dont like "European" Football, please say so in a less (way less) offensive manner or jog on. "Soccer is teh Suxx0r" would be just about acceptable. But only if you add a
Yay, you guys finally did it! Thanks for all the hard work you put into this. Now, if you'll excuse me, ill have to go play 1.6 now.
i THINK my custom race would be the loser of the loooosers, they're even lonesom Your custom race sure is a disgrace, hehe. Seriously though, how did you manage to mutilate them so badly? They usually rawk, you know. They are highly capable, you just n
Yay, another tournament! Whut, no customs allowed?! ...awwww man Guess ill have to play the pathetic Iconians then. Oh joy. X-P That, sure as hell, will be a defeat. Haha, i like that tournament already. Im busy with another MV game right now though, so the Iconians will have to wait. Good luck to all of you, may the best looser win! <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T
Thanks for your advise, i will definitely welcome the MCC the next time i pursue a militarily strategy. Currently, i rely solely on flipping for a change. Good luck! thanks
Awesome, thanks for your help Scintor. You just solved all my problems i had with the bloody MCC. Yay, i knew sometime the governor screen would become useful at last.
Apologies, it wasnt my intention to poke that long forgotten sacred cow with a ...errm, sharpened stick. I didnt know you could destroy your own planets. How exactly does this work? Also, i dont like the idea of having to go to war with a civilization because of me not liking one of their buildings much. ^^ This civilization could at that point, where i am forced to invade a certain
Dear, council persons. I'd like to make a vote, despite me being relatively new to the forum, if i may. I do vote for Wyndstar (he is already nominated iirc). He, more so the last tournament he hosted, was the reason why i even bothered with registering my game and started to play Metaverse games. He seems to be the logical choice to me, as for he is not only a very experienced player, with fancy medals and stuff, but also seems to be highly respected by the commu
With the MCC, it can take insanly long for a planet to flip, up to three years for one planet in my experience. So i can understand that some folks get the impression, that planets stop flipping entirely. Also, and i might get a lil paronoid here, when reading Kryos post with all the winks one can get the impression, that this was intentionally implemented as a drawback to the powerful 100% economy bonus (righltly so). Then again it doesnt make sense, because someone with an evil alignment
The thing with the mind control center is, that even when you refrain from building it, you still can get it by flipping an evil-race-planet that has the mcc already built on it. That would pretty much end an influence victory game in an instant. Sadly the only way to prevent this from happening right now, is to exclude all evil ai races from one's game. Would it be possible to make the mcc destructable or to prevent the ai from building it? I can imagine you guys are probably very busy
If it is two steps better than neutral, "herzlich" would equal "friendly" in the english version of the game. You would need a standing of "close", one step beyond friendly, to be able to form an alliance with an ai. Possible standings with an ai beyond neutral are warm, friendly, close ...ally. PS. "close" would probably equal "nahestehend" in your version. EDIT: In addition to the great tips by Maktaka: Give away or get a treaty (one will do) to/from the ai race of yo
is this a recent post? Apologies, i forgot to post a link. Mind Control Center prevents planets from defecting to your civ? By ge zus It is this particular post beside my own experience, that made me assume that there is probably something buggy about the MCC in correlation with the flipping chance modifier. As far as I know the MCC still
I just searched the forum for related posts and it seems as if the MCC is indeed bugging the flip chance. So as for now the only way to not getting the MCC by accident, when going for a victory via influence, is to exclude all evil AI races from your game. One thing I thought off though: Do plants flip when you're at war? I'm pretty sure I was at war with the dude
Hey Virigoth, What beta are you running your game with? I experienced some odd behaviour with revolting planets that just wont flip as well, in my beta 5 game i just finished. I thought i was imagining something and that it was just bad luck. However, some of the planets took like up to 3 years each and they only did seem to flip one at a time (thats why that game took 55 years). Then again, i had periods where they were flipping as frequent as usual. Oh, and i also had that mi
Hey Wallaby, sounds to me as if you did select a screen resolution, when changing the games video settings, your monitor isnt yet configurated for. Check your monitor for a button whose description reads "AUTO" (or something similar). Use it to let your monitor auto adjust the display size to fit its screen. If you have an older monitor, you probably will have to manually adjust the display though. There should be a menu button you should be able to access your screen setup with
Hey folks. I experienced quite the oddity in my current beta5 game. As you can see in the screenshot below, planets are about to revolt against the ai to join up with my empire, that shouldnt do so, as they are not within my sphere of influence. The planet Vesta II just joined up with my empire at the beginning of the turn that screenshot was taken in. It was the last planet of the Torians and it is clearly visible not within my influential reach (atleast as it is visually indi
-it seems to be no longer possible to improve your relations with a race by giving them gifts Errm, ignore that. Just started a new game and its working now ...weird. Could it be, that at a certain point an ai civilization simply can get to rich, that no matter what you trade them, it just wont be enough to improve relations?
Things i noticed that are different: -trade goods had their value increased (its way more costly now trading them off of the ai) -it seems to be no longer possible to improve your relations with a race by giving them gifts (eg.: all your planets ^^) ...this might be an older change, beta4 maybe
what i mean is what do you do IN the game to earn the points that you put on the metaverse? All i know about scores is, that there seems to be a penalty for long-lasting games and that the amount of ships you have/military strength, has a significantly impact on your final score, as does the productivity of your industry and your research throughout the game. As for how exactly the game does compute scores, i dont know that. A more experienced play
