For the love of god Stardock, do tell you plan to change the Planet Buildings menu for the better with TA? Alphabetical order and a list with gigazillion different buildings just is not very... elegant? Maybe separate different building classes with color boxes or something, this was the main annoyance with DA UI, atleast for me.
Agre

Wow, all the races are awesome now can't wait until they are all fully updated, love the new updates so far, keep them coming
Hi guys,
Errr, folks is there any particular reason why part1 of the current download is just 8.73mb instead of 333mb as stated on the download page?
Yes, we are changing servers. The mod is no longer available and the reason for that is below:
I was wondering if someone could help me im having a major problems with this mod as it keeps crashing all the time, basically i'm alright when its peace time but when war breaks out certain klingon ships
Has anyone noticed the bum lying around in the modding area? just thought I'd tell you before he goes to the gametalk area and starts stealing all the rum! Sorry I guess i should go home then eh?
Maybe Kryo or another moderator can answer this....What is the life of the forum like? I mean, have the forums been dieing down? Does it still see as much activity as when DA was launched? Just interested in the pulse of the GalCiv2 community.
Maybe, this Link seems to work. WWW Link
That forum is the old forum and will be removed soon.
Not yet guys, but we are getting close. We are discussing things on the mod right now. Including new forum, pages, etc.
Awesome - What are the other Editors that we can expect? I know the Tech Tree and Map/Scenario/Campaign, anything else? Wow, I can't wait and we are already working on the improved Star Trek Mod, this should help tremendously.
Stardock reps, can anyone tell me what exact changes are being planned for planetary combat and planetary combat visuals? I want funner taking over of planets, which would help ease the often tedious end game if you choose conquest victory.
I'd have to agree - With all the great updates, and bug fixes...The planetary conquest has been lacking from day one... It shouldn't be too hard to make a big push on this! Though its cutting it a little to close, might just have to
Well said Knight, don't think it should go out until we test it...since I havne't played it in hmmm 3 months, I think I may be able to test out just how much memory abuse this new version can take.
Its not dead, I've been gone for a very long time, Han and Knight were working on it, but Han had some things he had to deal with in his real life. Our original forum was removed, so Han had to build a new one. I haven't been keeping up on the web page as I've been gone... We are meeting to talk about what to do now though soon. Read the post stickied to the top. I'm sure race specific trees are on there way, if anyone remembers back from nearly Day 1. (I'm talking back when
Pyriel I know you didn't blame, but Han blamed himself after your reply, was just taking the blame this way as well.
Actually Pyriel2005, its not Han's fault. Its my fault. I kind of disappeared for several months with out letting them know. Can't expect them to carry it all alone. I'm back around now though. I believe I'm the reason the site went away, and the forum, and Han had to create a new one. Anyways, I'm back, not necessary working with them yet, going to talk to them about it first. Kind of screwed them. Thank god they continued on the work and did a good job.
Hey Folks, I felt it was time I posted.... Sorry I have been away, and yes, I have been away. As my team mates, and friends already knew, I was promoted a while ago and my time has been being ate up, there was a brief period where I wasn't so busy with work, but for now, I'm very busy again. I think I'll be ready to work on the mod again by JULY. As for the remark from Uglycow - I'm not commenting... Remember? Second, I left the mod for
all weapons are just recolored with new sound - we didn't make any weapons yet...
Yes we did, at least from Version 3, some people got their hands on Version 4 for DL, and that version had the same retextured weapons and sfx
Until I put out the patch - should of been out by now but was trying to figure out why people's games were crashing
Sorry, I'm sure this is going into the wrong area, but my Stardock keeps disappearing from my Start Menu - and I have to redownload it - its about the third time, any ideas on why??
Picard55 - If you move the entire previous mod out (or still have the zipped files), and then put in the lite version - you can move over which ever videos you want - the video names all stay the same so you can replace the ones you want with the ones that aren't compressed and have a better look - the intro is GC2DA_Intro
EVERYONE PLEASE READ: YOU MUST BE USING THE LITE VERSION. Here is a quote from my original post on that version: "This version on top of having the movies compressed and ship graphics down, will also have a new ShipStyle fix that should stop certain ships from crashing the game when they attack or are attacked. " It is post #502, towards the bottom. I have been trying to figure out why people's games keep crashing
Ghost Wes - I'd agree we didn't do the best job in clearly putting out the instructions.... Please see the message I pasted that Kryo had on another post. What you need to do is first click to "Use Mods" then click the "Change" button - then select "default" exit out of Dark Avatar, and go back in, it should now register and be looking in the Dark Avatar Mods folder - it through me off at first too especially because I created my mods folder on my own.
SEE THIS POST FROM KRYO: (Avatar)kryoMarch 26, 2007 20:56:22Reply #1 In DA, hit the change directory button below the enable mods toggle, then click the default button at the bottom of the change directory popup. That should kick DA into making its own mods folder and looking there, so you can put your mods in it. KYRO's POST LINK
Well Knight - All vista owners with half a wing nut in their head should know that any new version of a program as complicated as windows takes a while to work out bugs, and Microsoft is a multi-billion dollar corporation.
Welcome to the Star Trek Mod for Galactic Civilization! KEEP ALL YOUR DRIVERS UPDATED TO THE MOST CURRENT. KEEP DARK AVATAR ALWAYS UPTO THE MOST RECENT UPDATE. USE STARDOCK TO DO THIS. INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS: - Install the files into: C:\Program Files\Stardock\TotalGaming\GalCiv2\DarkAvatar\Mods - if you don't ahve the "Mods" folder create it yourself and install it into that. -DO NOT INSTALL IT INTO: C:\
UGLYCOW - Please continue to not play the mod. You are rude, and I have no time for this. You will no longer get a response out of me. Plus, I figured out how you were related to the original ST Mod, so that explains a lot. Even Stefan has moved on and we now work together. Post as much as you want. But I won't bother responding.
