Most definately is not a 3 space minimum for starbases anymore, woo 6 fully upgraded economic bases right next to each other wooo.

Wait wait, you're playing the beta update and you're complaing that you're experiencing bugs? Now what difficulty setting are you running at? O yes, you didn't happen to click the core ships only button did you? It will only display the core designs when you do that until you either click the button that displays both or the player made only button.
Militeristic also seems to come out when there is a large disparity between your military strenght and theirs.
They offered me $700 each turn for 4 turns, I dunno maybe they were scared of me I was evil and was several magnitudes better at everything than them with and an alliance with both the Drengin and Yor.
Yeah I'm going to have to say if your going to be doing lots of invasions get the Mini-soldiers, only thing I ever use unless I plan on giving away the planet.
I've noticed in the latest beta Number 4 isn't occuring anymore.
36 was my highest.
No no no, warlike races should vote for it because it makes constructors easy targets. My fighters can make it to anything that only moves 5 spaces per turn easily but a 25 space move requires an ambush.
I agree there should be some penalty with repeatedly breaking treaties. Does anyone know if there isn't an already built in thing for the AI relating to this? I doubt the guys at Stardock would overlook such and obvious strategy and have the AI not respond to it.

Yeah it sucks needing to seperate ships to upgrade them, dangerous too sometimes.
I play on tough. I'm not sure what my win/loss ratio is. It ends up being I either completely stomp the comp or get stomped very rarely do I end up with a really fun match where its really a competition between equal powers. When I play above tough I also get stomped very soundly yet when I play below tough its freakishly easy to win.
If game developers start taking the easy way out by making the AI cheat instead of giving it intelligence will end up slowing down the creation of an AI that actually is truly intelligent simply because fewer people would be working on it and giving it such a high priority. As it is the AI's are getting smarter than gameplay is complicating but if you say cheating is fine intelligence doesn't matter developers could and many would for efficiency just m
Yeah having huge amounts of research like that would be horribly unbalancing, it would effect everything where as with manufacturing you only make things faster. Also the bonus's for manufacturing cost you actual money but I hear the research ones don't cost anything more.
Same bug happens with the um gah settler module. When I get it again i'll get the debug file to yah.
There isn't a 1 turn minimum, leftover tech research goes to the next thing in the list. You notice this sometimes when research lines of tech you haven't invested in and its late game.
I really don't care if they put the CE stuff into a patch, theres some intereasting stuff in there but its not that special that I would prevent others from using it. But I would prefer they add new stuff, preferably animated or more hulls.
It would be nice if there was a module we could install on military starbases that allowed it to attack things if not within its sensor radius maybe 1 or 2 squares away.
The title should say 'won't work' but leaving grammar aside. Emailing [email protected] should fix your problems, it seems that there was a bit of a snaffu with the European copies of the game.
I beleive I first saw GalCiv2 mentioned on a webcomic, I think, and it was from their link that I saw the homepage. Right away when I saw that the AI designs ships and that I get to design ships and that I get to design ships to the degree that I do I was sold. O yes then there was the fact it was a 4x game and the market has been really lacking in 4x games lately.
You can blow up planets, kinda. I've attacked a PQ1 planet using planetary bombardment and afterwards it just disapeared, not sure what happens or if it was a bug of sum sort.
I get that with totally new designs. It seems that it isn't taking into account miniturization when calculating whether a part would fit or not. I may have 10 spots left, the engine could origionally be 11 slots big but thanks to miniturization its 9 slots. I'll try to put it on and I get the error message. Seems to be completely reproducable with all hull types and all items.
Yeah it takes alot of time, I usually dedicated every world with a starport for about a year building defensive starbases. Your military might may lag behind because of it, on the graph anyway, but if they try to attack they'll be toast.
It would be really nice to have a way to propose bills, as it is now I usually end up seeing the same few bills each time.
What? Dungeons and Dragons is old beyond reconing, in fact all religions are just spinnoffs of those present in DnD
