I very much doubt it. SD alrdy has its hands full fixing all the bugs with current supported OS. I just don´t see the point by starting officially supporting a OS that is currently in beta stage. They arent exactly working as advertised maybe. Or atleast it seems so in my games, Iam no expert in coding or texturing, but it seems city light are ON no matter which side you watch the planet. Kinda looks silly having white dots on light side of the planet. As I said, I have no idea should they work like this, just that it looks weird. Yep my dramatics went bit overboard You could feed the raging fan mob by throwing us a bone or two. Maybe tell us in general what areas of AI has been enchanted in 1.3? Keeps us settled for the couple extra days
Two words "oh Cr*p". If there was actually good games to play at the moment (new ones) the dissapointment would not be so great. But no good in hiding it, Iam waiting 1.3 like a rising moon over here
I have noticed that in games where Tech Trade is allowed, all AI seem to get same weapons. Logically they trade around so thats how it starts. But as the weapon animations on mass and missile techs are most annoyingly slow, I tend to go with beam weapons
Yes there is. Head down to: C:\Documents and Settings\your user name\My Documents\My Games\GalCiv2\ships and delete all files in that folder.
To me it is foolish to say "why does this game have to be better if none other is?". GC2 has good thing going for it, I just hope they recognize that diplomacy/politics part of the game is really shallow. So the obvious guestion is, why not try to make the game better if there is a chance?
I agree with the OP. Frogboy really deserves much credit about the AI , but it will get you only so far if the game is limited in other areas. In this case the diplomacy/politics. As reaver said, the diplomacy/politics part of the game will get some loving in expansion pack, how much is yet to be seen. But atleast there is hope

Glaring bugs indeed ignuss and I certainly expect 1.3 to fix these (as it is advertised as bug crunching). I would also like to see the inaccurate Goverment text fixed in F6 screen (forgot the name )

There was a poll awhile ago where only about 10% or was it 5% of the players wanted anykind of multiplayer. So it that was a clear signal to SD not to diver resources on multiplayer development. The DA expansion pack will not have multiplayer either so maybe in GC3, which wont come out in years as I understanded. There is no multiplayer mod for GC2, but Iam not sure if it impossible to create one. I doubt it since GC2 has none what so ever multiplayer implemented. RTW had TCP/IP gamin

Have you been using betas in the past with your current install of GC2 ? I installed all the betas and official versions from 1.0 -> 1.2 and many of my problems went away after I did a fresh install of GC2 and patched it up. If you have used betas give it ago. I recomend this since I dont witness example "deleted designs dont go away" problems etc. Iam also bit confused about the ship selection. Its not very streamlined in my mind. :/ But thats just a feeling cannot say fo
Hopefully there will be a open beta. There was some glaring UI issues and others in 1.0 GC2, hopefully SD learns from it.
I usually create Cylons So that the Yor dont feel lonely as only evil robots. +20% pop growth, +20 economics and something random. Political party is Technologists with research and sensor bonus.
This situation has been going on for quite some time. Iam going to finish that game today if possible. But like previous people have said, AI has never broken up a alliance with me before. Sure looks like they would like to, but just seems they are not capable of doing so in 1.2 .
