So its been almost a month and this bugs me still. I cannot Logout from forums or upload any pictures in Account section. I have tried this with IE and Firefox.

I think the AI is just lacking in that department. And if you form an alliance with AI they never brake it no matter what. Expect improvement in DA expansion.
There is definetly something fishy going on with decomissioning/destroying ships while multiple ships in same sector. I had couple fleets in same sector, disbanded the fleets and started to destroy ships one by one. To my suprise, the ship did not actually dissapear. Waited a turn and selected the sector again and then the destroyed ship did dissapear to bit heaven. Here is a bit from debug.err when I did this. Debug Message: FleetManagerWnd: Cannot find OBJID Fleet
I have also toutted for this feature for as long as I remember playing GC2. Good to hear it gets some work on DA expansion.
The tooltip bug I reported in as very first bugs in this thread seems to be happening in 1.3 beta 2a right from the start. That is if you set your regional setting to some other than English (united states). Ok maybe not, since now I get the tooltip bug even if I set regional setting to English (united states). Sending the save game and debug.err to [email protected]
Sweet job with the lights indeed! They work perfectly for me. Iam off to test the new beta 2a. Hopefully some performance issues are resolved alrdy or soon.
I have reproduced this bug in my game. Here is the save game and debug.err, ill send em to the [email protected] aswell. To reproduce the bug do the following: Select "korx lord 2" ship and upgrade them all to "korx lord 3". You can find lots of these ships just above starting position. The upgrading icons do not appear above the fleets untill you actually select the fleets with these ships. debug.err <
Something fishy going on with latest beta when upgrading ships. The game screen informs that it takes "a week" to complete upgrade even if the upgrade is finished alrdy. The reacently upgraded fleet still has the "upgrade : a week" message on it and also the upgrading icon over it. Even so I can move the ships after which the correct upgraded names appear on ship name box :/
I just accidentally changed my regional setting to English (united kingdom) and got the scrolling problem again. Seems that only setting regional to English (united states) fixes the scrolling. Atleast for me.
@Codecritter Yes it seems to be the evil regional settings at work again. When I set my regional setting to United States the technology screen scrolls normally. With right clicking and dragging. I have to test more if the problem #2 is also regional settings related.
Here we go again 1. The tech window seems awfully slow when scrolling. Not a real bug but annoyance still. 2. Military and social production tool tips dissapear in planet screen and do not show correct values. I have not yet been able to reproduce this, but it is definetly there. Got the bug in yellow box, but still
From the first glance atleast your 3d cards drivers are ancient. Might want to try updating them to the latest and try again.
Update your 3D cards drivers to the latest and update GC2 to the official 1.2 version. Might want to check out that you have laterst DirectX 9c version too.
Just got this one installed and gotta say, the new planet light are really nice! Only glitch I experience with the new beta patch is with tech tree. Scrolling tech tree is really slow for me, anybody else got this one? Not a game stopper but looks/feels weird. Well Iam off to play first game with new beta patch, maybe other people can also post their finding/improvement suggestions here while they play.
Hello there Just thought to report couple forum and site bugs that I have encountered reacently. 1. I was trying to update my portrait picture and got this error: 2. I cannot signout from the forums or the main site. The main site login box only states "welcome" and pressing X box does nothing. Pressing sign out in forums also does nothing. 3. I cannot vote in the reacent polls at all <img src="htt
Sweeet, just got my system back up after motherboard crash. What better way to spend the weekend than gaming GC2
1.3 AI is better than 1.2 there is no doubt about it. But yes AI does still build massive amounts of transports. In my latests 1.3 game Arcaens builded only transports. I repeat all their planets were full of transports and there was no ship with attacking strenght. Planet building is much better and actually I lost my first 1.3 game on Tough. So its getting better but hopefully Brad can fix the AI:s ultimate love towards transports.
It seems that auto survey does know exactly where anomalies are. This has been the case with all versions of GC2, not just the 1.3 beta 1.
Yep the language setting made a difference here too. Too bad I have English version of XP in use, so I cannot help you out CariElf. Hopefully you guys can fix the most annoying difficulty setting bug too.
Well I have Radeon X1900XT with latest 6.6 catalyst and planet lights show up and then again don´t. So the light behaviour is very erratic, which leads me to believe its a coding issue. I have tryed all the previous GC2 versions and multiple ATI catalyst versions and I cannot say that the light have ever worked 100%
Its not called beta for nothing. If the official 1.2 crashes like the beta, then you have a valid point. Post your debug.err and present your case well, maybe then it will get fixed too.
Thought to start your basic bug report thread, since there are couple glaring bugs to be found. The game is patched in this order. Original game from cd -> 1.2 official patch from SD -> 1.3 beta patch from SD. 1. Yor and Thalan ship models lack all jewelry. This is on race selection screen and in game. 2. Planets are full of mountain terrain and all tiles aligned horizontally. I have tryed this one only with Yor couple times. No idea if other races suffer the megalo mo
Yes I noticed this one! Terrible glitch, hopefully gets fixed asap! I made another thread for all 1.3 beta bugs, posted some screenshots about this one too.
Well the first step to add personality to races would be to add different kinda goverments for each race. It would not take too much effort to generate unique goverment names for different races. In example Thalans would have some sort of insectoid hive thing going while Robotic Yor could have different levels of core processors etc. I have brought this one up to discussion couple times but it has not generated much discussion, maybe its a bad idea <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/s
Yes I read about this one too and anxeously wait new info about it So whats the deal, finally full Formation battles equal to some sci-fi classics like Trek and Babylon 5 ?
