Don't even get us started on total war...

One simple trick for listening to your own MP3s is to replace the files with your own, making sure they have the same exact names. Should work, I believe.
I've seen it too in 1.2
And not to be confused with the coming 1.3 either.
Battlestar Galactica. Usually in reference to the newer reenvisioning of the classic late 70s series.
Brad, what kind of changes/improvements to the AI are you making in 1.3 other the mentioned bug fixes? I don't recall if you specified other than "better algorithms" in the journal. I'm curious what we can expect more of. Thanks.
I'm not sure I'm liking this whole King Arthur and Merlin spin lately. Seems very hokey. And what's with the kid? Didn't they learn from George Lucas to stop using them???
My apologies, Brad, but I too will come reluctantly in the defense of Rendorax. I love this game, spend a lot of my free time with it outside of wife and life. While I don't agree with his approach, he does bring up the valid point that the AI can be improved. I play suicidal, recently playing Huge (large in the past), and after rough beginnings stabilizing my economy, I come to dominate the AI. But has I mentioned in another post somewhere, that can be easily changed by some tweaks to the A
Yes, I've seen something like this too before. Just an oversight, I'm sure.
Bump. Happens to me too. Please Stardock, just a minor cosmetic fix to the GUI. Danke schon.
I'll take a stab... 1. I don't think there's a "convenient" way to check and see which ships still have movement points. What I do is make sure I have the autopilot toggle for the minimap on so at least I have a sense of where my ships are heading. That way, if I need to make a change, I'll do it before ending the turn and let the ships I missed move automatically. 2. Can't help you regarding arrow keys. I stick to the classic mouse for that. 3. There is no
Actually, VanCam, there is more of a benefit with trade than just generating cash. You'll find some experienced players reserve their freighters and send them to civilizations that have a higher chance of attacking. Trading with a race can improve your diplomatic relations with that particular civs, or at least give them an incentive to not break it off by attacking.
Tell us about the game. I, for one, have no clue.
Of course you have to annihilate the species on the conquered planets when invading. Can you imagine trying to wage guerrilla warfare with a large standing population. Think Israel has it bad? Wait until you try co-existing with the Drengin in the same towns. It'll make Baghdad look like Disneyland's It's-A-Small-World ride.
I play at Suicidal and win. I'll admit I haven't looked at the above posts so I apologize if I rehash. I avoid cheese tactics like conquering planets only to return to reconquer again. Only thing I do is tech trade to stay in the game economically, but I usually halt that mid-game as I start to pull ahead. But here are some things the AI can do, which if done correctly, will whoop our asses: 1. Improve planetary improvement buildup! In version 1.2, the AI has gotten better about w
Usually takes six years for me on Huge/suicidal, playing as a Good civilization. It takes a lot to stay in the game early maintaining/building my economy and still staying level with the others when it comes to researching techs. Once a race or two starts turning hostile, I start building armadas of medium hull ship and just start plowing through nonstop until I achieve a military victory.
Okay, so speaking about gravity in the game... Have you considered that maybe these ships don't have artificial gravity? Each turn is considered to be a week...so in theory, people are on board these ships only months at a time. That's easily accomplished even today.
You can trade it via the trade screen. You don't need to establish trade routes with a particular race in order to sell them a trade good. The only limitation is that you can only sell it to races you've come in contact with, obviously.
You cannot. Best you can do is hope/bribe a race to attack the minor, and refusing to assist. This will break the alliance. "Knowing is half the battle...go Joe!!!"
I agree. That feature from GalCiv1 is sorely missed.
Someone mentioned changing or updating the server stardock central connects to should solve the problem. It worked for me . Go to Tools --> Settings --> Internet and either change the current server to california or refresh the list. This worked for me and hopefully should work for you. Thanks to WarEagle for the tip.
I'm having the same issue. Anyone care to shed some light on this, please?
Metalkid, go to Metaverse and from the top menu bar, select Accoutns and the submenu Edit My Characters. When your character(s) show up, select the default button to the right of it. And that will do it. Simple as that.
I've noticed this bug on some of my planets too, and I've already sent a saved game to stardock. It usually happens to one or two planets that refuse to grow beyond a certain point (usually low billions) no matter how many farms you add or what the approval rating is. I think I also noticed this bug tends to be with low PQ planets (like Mars, etc) and not on higher PQ planets.
What's this ring/moon bonus?
