I've got a little problem with saved off ship designs. In my last game I designed a couple of blank hulls for large and huge ships and saved them off. The problem is I did this after researching ultimate miniaturization. This means I can't use these hulls in any future game until I research ultimate miniaturization again. Is there anyway to modify the files to remove any other tech dependencies other than the normal large and huge hulls? <br

Sure it says that the planet can "Hold" 26b people. But think about it, if earth today with its 6 billiion people suddenly had 26 billion how happy would you be? No place to stand, no privacy etc. Your planet is overpopulated, so you have to resort to +morale buildings to keep them happy. My suggestion would be to scrap 1 farm and build a +morale building in its place. Your population will drop and your morale will go up. Oh and just remember that farms are the buildings that de

That works, too. But where you enter your comments for any particular thread, point your eyes upward above the text box. There's an easy-to-use 'Image' button for those who want to embed without having to use the img tag themselves. Um not to nit pick but I'm still not seeing an "Image" button anywhere. Perhaps you can point it out in th

Save your images to .jpg format and have them hosted somewhere where linking directly is free (www.imageshack.us). Then simply click the "image" button on top of the comment box to add the addresses into your posts. You'll need to copy the information you need from the hosting site. What image button? I don't have one and just end up usin

I never build more than 2 farms on a planet.. and for every farm I build 2 multimedia centers. That is the only way ive found (outside of manipulating the tax rate) to keep morale up. Actually 1.5 moral buildings per farm is fine. I've had 41 billion on a planet and had no problems with moral when using the 1.5 per farm.

The first one is a bug. Journalists can't do statistics anyway. The second one isn't a bug. There isn't 'territory' so-to-speak. There is only influence. The little patch of red to the right of the Drengin planet is the only place in that area where that planet's influence exceeds yours. (or the other aliens). <

Besides that, you might also want to factor in the fact that defense will only be good against one type of weapon whereas the weapon will be good against two type of defense. Not exactly. Non optimal defense(armor vs beam weapons) still adds to the defensive roll. It doesn't add its full value but sti

Yeah this would be nice. Or even a way to slow it down, like only allow a civ to trade 1 tech and 1 tech only every 5-10 turns.

One of the things some people don't realize is that each race has its own AI class behind it with its own code and strategies. We wanted to make sure that the computer opponents didn't have some universal gap. So each one will try different things on planets or different colonization strategies, different tactics, etc
