Am the only one who saw the title of this thread and thought of the speech by the Lt. in Starship Troopers? I thought the exact same thing.

Sucks that happened nothing you could have done would have helped. However when you want to conquer another empire, don't give it the opportunity to surrender. Make sure you can take all the planets in one turn and spite the AI right back.
After reading through these hilarious posts again: NOBODY has INCLUDED "NON ENGLISH SPEAKING PEOPLE" in the discussion. So STOP making that an issue. Any Briton, American, Canadian (except French), Australian above the age of 10 years old HAS BEEN taught TOO, TO, and TWO. There is no excuse except laziness.
Try that on obscene or higher difficulty and tell me you had success.
Read my post: I excused non English-first people. Looking at any given post, how could you tell the difference? If spelling and grammar are that important to you, then I would suggest that you stop reading all Internet forums.
There are several different ways to tell a planet what ship to produce. which one is this or is it all of them?
I remember that from galciv I, but havent seen it in galciv II. Wonder if it does the same thing.
The multipalyer thing would be nice and Frogboy says they will eventually do it. That said, I shudder everytime I think about a multiplayer game. The length of time to complete a game could stretch into years.
Ok first please don't post in blue. Second you must build a starport on the planet you want to build ships on.
You just have to love the over wordy and over dramatic language of the OP.
And a final word of advice your never "don't need the money" in galciv2, buy any good techs, buy all resources, buy military (from others or rush build) and if you have all those start buying planets. My moto is when your making twenty-five thousand bc theres nothing you can't do Yep you can eve
I would begin a ship building campaign. Build lots of transports with a min of 2000 troops each. Also get to at least medium sized hulls and build lots of fast high damage ships. When you have enough transports + escorts + battlefleets attack your nearest neighbor. If you do it right you can wipe them out in 1 turn. Repeat until you have no one left to fight.
My position is that while the game certainly isn't perfect, it's no more or less "buggy" than any typical modern game. One visit to a Civ 4 forum or Oblivion forum and you'll see the same kind of thing. There's just too many configurations out there. Totally agree with you. All software has bu
A better analogy would be the deli is providing you with free refills on your soda and french fries. Thanks, Can I get those to go? I'll be back tomorrow for more of my free refills too. Whats that you say? I get free refills for life? Wow, just wow. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Congrats.gif" b
Hmm that must be the Star construction tech from GalCiv I
But I have an alliance with the Thalians, why cant I demand they uphold their alliance with me and go to war with the arceans even though they are friends? Other civs demand I uphold our alliance. But this isnt even an option, for them to attack the Arceans Sounds to me like they are on to your littl
I see fighters as an additional weapon type similar to missiles. Perhaps make it a little different in that Point defense can be used at 1/2 strength instead of the root of your PD value. Add in CAP(combat air patrol) for the real defense. Make the fighter bay really large and do a lot of damage and you are set. Just need to add the graphics for the strafing runs. Heck you can even give the defensive value to the fighter bay itself and even have different types with more defen
Check out this thread for stuff that should help Link
When they do that trade route thing for evil empires, I just research xeno ethics and buy my way back to neutral.
No, but if you've got an unexplained problem and an old driver... it's probably best to look into updating that before making accusations about the quality of software you are running on your unupdated machine. QFT, how else do you expect to debug the problem if you don't eliminate everything th
Your vid drivers are dated back to December of 2004. Ati has had numerous updates since then. Yeah ATI is on version 6.3 cataylst drivers. His are very old.
Try demolishing stuff on them that you don't need. Embassys are the first thing I usually kill. Oh and not every planet needs a starport or defenses.
Pretty much just a research base for me. Anything 6 and below I typically just put 1 factory and the rest research.
In almost all of my games i dont escort my transports simply becuase there too fast. they really dont need an escort once they can move 9pc/wk. ive also noticed in some cases the ai wont even pay attn to my unescorted transport (on painfull btw) Funny you should say that, I like making transport kill
Sorry Brad, I've seen it happen up to Suicidal. Sounds a lot like a bug to me. Perhaps the AI is using or stuck on the low-intelligence algorithm.
