I just want to thank everyone who responded to this string and thanks for the invitations to join other empires. I appologize if some took my message as though I was frustrated with the Texas Republic. I am not. We are around 20th with only about 10 active players and so we are not doing that bad. I was only looking at the numbers of players in some of the other empires and wondering how the smaller empires are going to be able to compete with that. But I definately don't think the Empires

If there is to be any realistic competition between the Empires it looks as though there is going to need to be a limit to the number of players that can join an empire. Most Empires have less than 10 to 20 players yet some are showing as many as 55, 88, and 95 players in them. This makes the competition between the Empires not about how well your players play the game, but how much time you invest into recruiting more players. I believe each Empire should be limited to 20 players or less. <br

Sure. I don't see any reason why not. I did that with the Public Release of 1.035 and it worked fine. I have Internet Access at home and at work but like to do my downloading from work (it's a faster connection). Just download the file to your Desktop. Then copy it to a Zip drive and transfer it home. This of coarse assumes you have a zip drive at home and at work. If not, then I believe there is a way to copy a file onto multible Floopy Disks. I know there is but I haven't used a floopy

Strategy First published this great game and they have a link to download to 1.04. That link by the way takes you to a page from this Gal Civ site. I always like to wait for the Public Release of a version before I upgrade. So I'm wondering that since 1.04 is not publically released on this site yet, what version of 1.04 is Strategy First linking to? I just want to make sure that I get the latest version of 1.04. Also, does anyone know when the latest version of 1.04 will be released to the

T-man, Thanks for being on top of these submission problems. No. I didn't change anything. But one interesting note that may have effected it was that the first time I submitted the game I had won accidentally by Alliance victory. I had an Alliance with all but the Yor and one of the other races wiped out the Yor and so the game ended giving me an Alliance Victory. When I replayed that same game, it went on for another week because the Yor was not wiped out thus no Alliance Victory and I

Good idea. Not sure if they can do it but a slider for each planet to vary the amount of Military vs Social spending would be great. Also, what is seriously needed is a fix to the NOTHING bug. When you select NOTHING for spending then NOTHING should appear in the box that shows what you are building. Now, even if you pick NOTHING the next time you view that planet the build box will be blank forcing you to AGAIN scroll through the build choices to see if you should be building somet

For some of us who play in pain due to carpal tunnel it would be nice if we could just hit the enter key as a default for any screen that requires you to mouse click on "DONE". Carpal Tunnel is a condition in the wrist most often created by excessive mouse use. So any consideration for reducing the required mouse clicks in a game would be greatly appreciated. As always, thanks for the good support.

What I do as far as tracking my own planets on hugh maps is that I draw my own map on a blank shhe of paper. Al I do is put the planet namets on the paper in the proximity of where it would be on the screen. I find this as a very big help when being asked what Military projects to build for a planet when I have no idea where it is.

T-Man you have just restored my faith in the excellent support you and the Galciv team provide. Sorry to be a hound about it but I want to move up to 1.4 but need to get my 1.35 game onto Metaverse before I can upgrade. THANKS!

Actually I see it as a bug. When I choose nothing, it should say nothing in the field for that the next time I view that Planet. This way I don't have to scroll through the list again to see if I should be building something. If it kept the Nothing there, I would know I already scrolled through the list and decided there was nothing I wanted to build at the time. It would be a big time saver while playing the big games.

Metaverse happens to be a feature of the game. That is why the game (an nothing but the game) gives you the option to submit your scores to Metaverse. In any case, it is an existing feature of the game and therefore the problems associated with it should be corrected before moving on to any game enhancements. And who are you kidding EBZ? You save your games to the Metaverse just like many of us do and your own rank makes it impossible for you to deny it. And for the record, I too would rather

As a GalCiv customer I believe I have a right to ASK (not demand) that they tell us what is going on now with Metaverse. You are right that there is only so much time in the day and only so much they can do in a day. But, you seem to be ignoring all the time people put into a game and a game replay from last save to get a score on Metaverse in the first place. Time is priceless especially at my age. :) I have not been asking for a personal response. I have been asking on behalf of all of us w

Still waiting for someone at GalCiv to respond to the Metaverse Problems we are currently STILL experiencing. If you can't fix it right away that's fine but just tell us what's going on so we don't continue to waste time re-submitting games to Metaverse for nothing.

I should think it would be more important to fix the lack of stability in Metaverse before you add more features to it. Please work on making Metaverse more stable as far as accepting submitted games before you add any features or enhancements to Metaverse. What good will the new features be if half the games you submit to Metaverse are not accepted due to some intermittent problem with Metaverse?

Hey EbZero, I have made no demands or threats. I simply am requesting them to address this Metaverse Issue in a timely mannor like they do with all other issues. And for your information, if the problem is me, then why did my previous scores work and I have made no PC setup changes since then and why are so many others having problems with the submissions???? If you read all my posts on this subject or any other subject you will see that I always thank these guys for the excellent support

It's been more like a 7 days then a few hours. And I haven't got a clue who the CEO is but the CEO should have a bigger interest in satisfying the customer than anyone else in the company. I am forever promoting this product so I have some exposure as well because of that. And one of the things I always promote is what great support they have. I'm only trying to make sure they don't make a liar out of me. :)
