Judge: You will need to use Stardock Central. I believe that new updates will only be available from there as Stardock are trying to move people over to it now that it has been released.

Always been OS Ten to me. The mac has always had OS and the number. Mac OS 6, 7, 8, 9, and now OS X. It doesn't make sense to me to call it OS Ex as it doesn't follow the pattern. It's the tenth version of the Mac OS not the Xth. However having said that if you go to Apples site to look for updates to OS X you will see the following: Mac OS X v10.2 Which makes no sense being pronouced Mac OS Ten Version 10.2 and sounds better as Mac OS Ex version 10.2

Gypsy: It's not falling on deaf ears, just the wrong ones. Karmagirl responded and told you there is no point posting it here as the ears it needs to reach do not listen to this site. The Sales team don't frequent this site and read the messageboards. Therefore you need to contact them by email if you really want anything to even have a chance of changing. Nothing gets changed without someone asking for it. If they don't listen and change you've lost nothing. If they do listen you've gain

kona: The reason karmagirl responded in that way is that people do post a message saying that 'This site has cracked WB and needs shutting down http://blah.blah.com' thinking they are helping stardock when in fact that link is acting as advertisement for that site. A casual reader coming across it and looking for cracked WB will not think twice about going there and downloading it. It may easily end up that what is intended as a 'good deed' could turn into a very bad thing. The best m

joetheblow: The Lab is here http://pjpowell.dyndns.org/ However I am just learning PHP and Web Design so I haven't got an upload mechanism as yet. Feel free to email me the files and some blurb you want me to put with them and I will be happy to put them up in the lab section. You can also send me a screenshot as I am working on adding that capability to the Lab. There is a comment section on there which can be used by people to comment on the lab files. At the moment commen

If the people producing those skins only produced skins for pay I would agree with you. But they don't. They continually produce extremely high quality skins for free as well. Let's imagine the following scenarios: Scenario 1: Those skinners produce skins for free only. They find that they can't afford the luxury of having a computer/net connection. They stop skinning or cut back drastically. Result: Everyone loses. Scenario 2: Those skinners get

Personally I'm very happy with my TFT monitor. It sits alongside my CRT as a dual scren setup. It's a Belinea 15 inch and has inputs for DVI and standard Analog VGA. I have two PC's and can switch between a Dual screen on one or TFT on the other from the On screen menu. Cost me about £400 and I actually prefer to play games on it to the CRT. I've not noticed any of the ghosting, slow refresh etc I was warned about. I also watch DVD's on it. Because it is flicker free I believe it's better f

I have started an objectbar tutorial at http://pjpowell.dyndns.org/Objectbar Would appreciate it if you wanted to take a look and offer constructive criticism. It's very rough and ready and in it's infancy at the moment but I hope to add more to it as time permits.

feline: appears to be working fine. Started counting up as soon as I added it to the object and changed to counting down when clicked. Also switched to not online when I went offline and restarted counting when I came back online. No problems experienced yet. As it seems to modify the object text I wonder if it could be used by people vie dxscript to show an on/offline image in another object. Will have to look into that.

Drop125: Chances are very high that another app you run does not get on with Windowblinds. Have you tried disabling all startup items except WB? Do so and see if it fails still at startup. If it doesn't then start adding them back one at a time until you find the culprit. When you find it add it to the exclusion list and let stardock support know what the filename is and how they can get hold of it to test. If it fails even with all other stuff disabled then it may be the video dr

Zodiaq~ : The only reason this became public was because you did not contact an admin about it in the first place. As soon as it hit the messageboard people became curious about which images were the same and who had ripped you. It's the nature of the world. A nice bit of juicy gossip. My personal opinion (not that you will care) is that you probably both read the same tutorial on doing glassy buttons. There's only so many techniques to do them. Some more complex than others. Ther

I have been pondering MadIce's request for an experimental section on this site and I am all for it. Until then however I will be posting experimental DesktopX objects/themes here: http://pjpowell.dyndns.org/DXLab.php It's not pretty but it is functional. Please read the blurb at the top and don't import these objects into a theme that you will not want to lose. Disclaimer: Most of these objects will be scripted and hence prone to be buggy. Some will use WMI scripts but I will make
