Just Jess: The only real way I know to do this is to use DXScript to tap into the WMI (Windows Management Instrumentation). With that you can get the performance info which is available in the System Monitor in a DX object. To get flashing lights you would basically need an object to read the data at regular intervals and then it could change it's state depending on if traffic is high, medium or low. I have been planning to make just such an object for a short while now. Also plannin

Artur: To me it makes no difference if someone corresponds in private with an admin about how wallpapers are dealt with here or if they correspond in public. It's still taking the time to respond when they probably have better things to do. This topic is brought up time and time again and the situation is just not going to change. The only possible change I can see would be to scrap the wallpapers completely. Problem solved. It's fair to all as no one can upload no matter what their status

Ok. In answer to Craeonics: If I'm right I am having a great time now and will have a greater time later in Heaven. If I'm wrong I lose nothing because I am still having fun and enjoying myself now and later if that's the end who cares. I won't know anything about it. But I have no doubts. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmiddle" ALT="Powered by S

GreyTata: I know you don't mean it to be that way but your response here is one of the reasons people don't get a rejection letter explaining why it 'failed to make the grade'. Not all are as polite as you and many are a lot more vociferous.

MadIce: The experimental section sounds like a great idea. I have a lot of experimental DX stuff that I never fleshed out. e.g. I have a lot of DXScripted object (including a walking ATST) sitting on my hard disk but they're not ready to upload as a full object as the code and stuff is still very much experimental. If there was somewhere to upload stuff like that, maybe even useful snippets of code and stuff it would be great. I don't see the DesktopX section as a place for that as stuff the

I would have to agree. Excellent idea. A way of bringing talented skinners who maybe are not as prolific to the attention of the masses.

/me has to interject again. As a Christian I believe that someone did go to slugworld(Hell) and did come back to tell people about it. That person was Jesus. Some of his disciples saw him die. They also saw him when he returned from death and came back to them. They wrote about it and told people who went on to tell other people as Jesus had commisioned them to do. It is down to each person whether to believe those who pass on the Gospel (Good News) or not. Nobody is forcing anybody to be

Local chip shop had it right but they passed to new management recently. New chips are too greasy and not at all the same. Best chips are made from Maris Piper potatos (not sure I spelled it correctly) I do like MacDonalds fries though <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmi

The Church of Jesus Christ and the 'Organised Church' are often entirely different things. Remember Jesus attitude to the then 'Church' leaders as it were. They had become too bound up in the rules and had lost site of the ruler (God).

The problem is that most people look at Christianity in the wrong way. The fact as the Bible tells it is that everyone is going to hell. Doesn't matter who you are, everyone. Hell is being without God. Evil cannot be in the same place as God. God is like Light and sin is like Dark. You put a light on and the dark vanishes. Same premise. God is love ergo Hell is being without love and so you have all the hate and nastiness in one place. All men have sinned and so heading for hell. God d

spinal: I seem to remember a long time ago frogboy posting a skin that used a multicolour mask to demonstrate this. The mask caused a rainbow type spotty effect on the titlebar. I have done the same with one of my skins to demonstrate: http://pjpowell.dyndns.org/temp/multicolourmask.jpg The spots are added by the mask. The original titlebar image is plain. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images

Adni I will answer you now and tell you I would give that wall a 4. I do not like it as a wall thought it is no doubt a nice piece of art. However it is in the wallpaper section. There is no defined space to fit my icons. Wherever I put them I am covering part of the background. In my eyes it does not fit the purpose of a wallpaper. Your reason for using a wallpaper may be different to mine. 4 is not a bad score for something I don't like and wouldn't use. Why would I rate something I do
