Make sure you plug in the ink cartridge in the back of the monitor too! ;)

Or maybe Santa will bring the extra 20% at Xmas!
I have noticed that when switching from democracy goverment to Federation, the bonus does not increase to 40% as is indicated in the manual, instead, it remains at 20%. Hence Federation goverment is useless.
They are useless
Yep, I agree. Its stupid to think that a ship that can destroy a star system, cannot be part of a fleet and has no defensive weapons of ant type. On top of that it is the slowest ship in the galaxy. What are it's positive attributes? Kind of reminds me of the Zepelens of ww2.
I think I have to give the AI some economic bonus to get thrilled by this game...
I felt the same about the game. The AI is just too easy to beat. Then I started playing on "painful" setting and increasing the intelligence of all the civs higher and higher. Now they build up techs and armies faster than I can. Its lots more fun.
Don't lose any sleep over it!
but the limit at 50% is there for a reason
I'm not sure that you're on the same page as me. Presently, the military slider sets the amount of manufacturing for all ship building. But sometimes I would like to build lots of constructors without building war ships. Hence, having a seperate slider for "military" and one for "non military" ships would be helpfull.
IT would be nice if a new slider was added to the game to control the amount of manufacturing diverted to non military ships like constructors, miners and others. This would be helpful when playing for an influence victory or if you are just trying to build infrastructure..
Our gas is already back down to $3.52 a gallon.
Enjoy!
I have read and heard on alot of new reports that they predict the prices will get to around $4.35 or so then they will drop the prices to back to like $3.50 and everyone will think there getting a big break and not care about paying those prices.
Yep, that's how you manipulate the public. First you take out all the private gas stations so you control the retail prices, then you play ping pong with oil futures to raise the price of gas, even though the gas they are sellin
He just needs more tummy time!
I'd like to see ..... no bugs.
Although in early software writing, a bug was really an insect jammed in a relay contact, today's bugs are much more complicated issue. As software gets more complex, so do the bugs. A software program that has no bugs has yet to be written!
I often give ships away to civs. It would be helpfull if there was a way of tagging the ships you want to give away so that I do not have to write the ship numbers down all the time.
Don't let this become a personal war. Although I too would prefer that spies be optional, let me remind you of the words of a wise man. You can't please all of the people all of the time... So put in a switch.
Were the galactic privateers removed in 1.6 on purpose? I miss them.
Its the new stealth feature added in 1.6. Push ctrl/f13 to shut it off.
Well I have no idea why this is happening!
Does the effect of an influence SB increase if it is put closer to a planet?
Yes I have scanned my PC for mallware and viruses. When you follow the steps I listed, does your computer not do the same as mine?
I enjoy a good influence victory. But I find the influence starbases too much maintenance on immense maps. I tend to use a great number of them to chop an anemy down to size. All of those constructors must be managed, then you must click, click, click for each one to select which option you want, or cancel, cancel ,cancel because you ran out of money and 10 more constructors have arrived. Since it makes no sense to select anything but the largest percent option anyways, why not do away
Large influence bonus tiles would spice up influence wars by forcing oponents to focus on retaliation. Maybe they must take that planet? or increase influence fast.
I dissagree, I like the rersources, they give the AI a chance at winning. When times get tough, I grab one to increase my income.
I'm pretty sure the launcher doesn't start at boot time by default. At least it's not here now, and I just started the computer and checked the tasks (and processes).
Start the computer then press the TOA icon. When the TOA menu comes up, go to the game web site. Then check the tasks once the web site comes up. My PC keeps on up/downloading data.
I play immense maps and even after conquering all the planets one by one, I did not see anything past a 300% bonus. Even using the ctrl/n switch 30 times or more, the same thing is true.
In my last immense game, I had 2005bc trade income. That makes it worth it.
