Good luck, documentation is not a stardock strenght. I asked the same thing two years ago!
LightVader
I updated all the files that stardock central allowed me to download. So I guess that I am up to date. I did not install any of the beta versions, so I should only have the final version on my PC.
I am playing gigantic game, but the thalans are not an issue, in fact they are not even building ships?
For the record, I did report the crash issue in two seperate posts. But no one answered them. Anyway, here is the error file from my latest crash.
If DA was crashing for you, you should have definitely made sure those were addressed for you first before getting TA. There may be some compatibility issue we're not aware of.
I did post my crash problems with DA along with other people on that thread, but the post was not answered. I will send an other error file when I play the game again. I assumed that the error file would only be created when an error was detected. Thanks for your reply Frogboy. <br/

I just played my first TA game, and got to enjoy 6 crashes! I held off buying until the final release in the hope that the crashes of the DA version were fixed before it was released. Well, I am not happy to report that I paid more money for the same buggy game I had before. In fainess, some of the changes are nice, I love how much faster the game is, but mostly, I was hoping for a game that does not crash! Is that really that difficult to create?
Thank you stardock for your fast reply!
No. Only the base points.
So what does that mean?
I did not read it on the internet. If I was the inventor I would not publish until I was granted to patent. It was on a special news report show and on various talk shows. Some would be quick to dismiss it, because of the generalities and incomplete nature of the claims made. But being a holder of a number of patents, I can certainly understand the reasoning behind it. Why buy the cow if you can get the milk for free? The process as disclosed does have merrit. We will have to wait 18 mo
But it became difficult to hide the fact that "Data" the cyborg was getting old! I was still a big fan of the show and the movies
The problem with that method is that running the wave generator takes up more energy than is given off if the hydrogren were recovered.
I heard that the process uses less than 10 milliwatts of focused microwave energy to produce enough hydrogen to power a fuel cell for a day at full output capacity. The radio energy can be channeled through a waveguide and focused into a fine beam similar to a laser beam. This reduces the actual AC power required to generate the
You can beam me up now Scotty!
Unless the radio was inside the microwawe, it it not probable that it was the cause of the problem. But! if it was, then you were also sterilized at the same time. Hope you already have all the kids you want.
A new method for seperating hydrogen and oxigen has been stumbled upon recently. The process had been patented and his in the hand of research engineers now. It involves exposing normal ocean water to a short wavelenght radio signal. This process has the effect of parting the molecular bond. The inventor has demonstrated the principles by using a mamogram machine on a glass of water, then after a few seconds, you can set the hydrogen rising from the glass on fire. It actually looks like he is bu
I once had a home planet with a 700% and 2 300% industry tiles. Once I added a manufacturing capitol and a quantum power source, I was pumping out large scale ships every turn. I was the master of the universe! The Krynn and the Dragen were no match. I made them beg for mercy.
I understand that the type of defence you use does not matter. All defence types give the same protection from all weapons. Therfore 100 power ray sheilding provides 100 power stinger and mass driver protection as well. So it makes little difference which you use. It is better to use mass driver protection since the ultimate plating provides 10 units of protection and is the same size as ray sheilding that only provides 9 units of protection.
Could someone from stardock please clarify what the present effect of the MCC actually is please.
I was playing a gigantic game, and had one Krinn planet that would not flip even when I had 8 influence stations directly around it. The influence reading of the planet reported 36 (246.06) and still it did not flip. Spying on it revealed a mind control center and a police center. When I finally decided to invade it, the description for the MCC said that it would help flip planets faster, but it did not seem to do anything. What did I miss? What does this really do?
I have noticed that I get memory errors when I play Gigantic games more than any other. Some times along with the out of memory message I get a second message from my program debugger reporting a "Pure virtual call error". The larger the number of objects created the more errors I get. The game also slows down so much that a constructor takes 4 seconds to cross one sector on the grid. A turn can take upward to 20 minutes before it returns control to me. I can play 3 or four turns than
I have been having out of memory problems with DA everytime I try to play a game since December. Looking at other posts I can see that this problem has been reported by other users as well, yet, it seems that the issue is being swept under the carpet in favor of pushing the sale of the new games. What about the game that I paid for more than a year ago and still cannot play without it crashing ! I can assure you that I will not be buing an other game from you until you get the first on
I would like to suggest that we be given the means to select or design the icon that represents each ship, ship type and fleet. This would make it easier to identify your ships when "zoomed out" in tactical view mode. Maybe it could be added to the ship design screen.
Once in a while DA crashes when I quick save it. I must exit the program and restart the game, but I have lost all the turns since the last save. Has this been an ongoing issue? Is there a solution?
It would be nice if we could have an option to save a game in an "archive area" so that we could go back to it later.
During our lifetime, mankind's only hope at interplanetary travel is to travel to Mars. the only present options for engines are liquid fuel rockets or nuclear reactive hydrogen engine. The later, has the advantage of requiring half the fuel but has not been tried in space. A ground based engine was tested in Nevada in 1968 with great success. But the research was dropped doo to lack of interest. Maybe a hydrogen collecting system can be devised that would further reduce the fuel requirement for
