Yea in DL, (because I'm a poor ass and couldnt get anough money for the beta in time im still playing DL ) there prittymuch worthless... Mars has no upgradable area's normaly... sucks... hard... glad its been made usefull finaly!

Mystik and LoneWolf are right, tiny ships are the only sort you should build against dread lords, if you HAVE to build a big ship tho for some reason, like to remain at the top of the military graph, then build a huge one and pack it with defences, so you have about 100 on each one (or more specilies if the dread lords don't have a wepons branch) THEN add wepons. You could defintly use that in offence, and if the AI can use it in offence and take over fully built starbases, then you'd need to be able to do it in defence aswell. I like the idea, it's a little bit complex though, and kind of hard to put into the game I'd guess. It would bring a major strategic advantage to the game, all you have to do to get a starbase is take over your enemys, instead of destroying it and rebuilding from scratch! arg I hate that! The best stratergie that I have found is to do this. First turn: -Direct surveyship to the nearest "Astroid" class anomely, as there normaly the ones that have money, the set it to Auto Survey. -Go to shipyard and Re-design the collony ship so it's faster and can go further. -Return your first collony ship to orbit around Earth, then re-launch it and send it strait to Mars, as this one is crapy and slow. Moostek is right... Multiplayer on GC2 has been fought over ever since the launch of the game. The reasons for are so small against the reasons against that we barely give it any thought. As for that empty box, that's were any awards/status's that you see in the rack underneath my post go, once you have earnt them. It's not a place for games at all!

I'd have to agree that it would be nice to have some changes to the ground force invasion. As it is now I click three times once I get the invasion screen and go right into the planet screen to change the social builds to what I want. Assuming I win the battle that is. It would be nice to see a different representation of planatary battle than one field with oposing armies

What if for every generic module that added, the star base gained 1 HP? And for any defensive or offensive module, the star base gained 2 HP? In this way a fully upgraded star base would be far harder to destroy, and star bases with more upgrades would feel more massive and unique. I am at the opposite extreme as far as wishes for tactical battles goes. I find the whole sequence, including the attempt to spastically click to get the best odds, tedious. Yea they defintly do take second fiddle, except that they are a vital part of the game, and you can't capture planets without it! That's the real clinger that has me on the topic. Animation tallent? That's an ok stratergie, BUT I would use that to get new collonies off the other races strait after the collony rush is over, before anybody has any millitary strength. I'm going to try that on my latest game actualy, havn't finishd the rush yet!

As I was invaiding the Altarian's the other night after a long LONG game on battle of the god's, suicidal, I thought as i nearly fell asleep for the second time: "Invasions are really bland". Then I fell asleep. So I started thinking when i woke up, Stardock should really overhaul the "Army" in the game. It's this masivly inportant aspect of the game and it's so lacking that its not ever funny. The "Navy" can be completely pimpd out, why can't we have the same engins and ability's for the Army?

Yea, I see the problem with the Pirate's, your letting the game run for too long without anything hapening and so it's throwing in somthing (IE: The pirates) to spice it up alil, you know, keep it alive instead of just a "Next Turn" game that goes on indefinatly.
