Aussie Aussie Aussie! Hey from WA! I think its intentional like the Auto Survey function, so that you dont have to manualy micromanage it, as that could become a real pain. I agree though, it does need tweeking to stop it from building bases that will prittymuch imidiatly flip over to someone else.. thats just anouying! Fate,

You are all talking about blockading somthing, ie, a planet or half the galaxy to use yourself. However, wouldn't it be much more effective to stop te problem at its source? Being the enemy AI's homeworld. If you went strait there and blockaded that, it wouldnt matter how many collony ships they built, they couldn't send them anywere. I mean... why blokade one especily good planet for your exclusive use later on via a massive waste of resources when compared to one colony ship, when you c

The amount of time the freighter spends within the sphere of influence has no bearing on the amout you get as a bonus... its either 10%, 30% or 60%. the trade route only has to touch it. Not true. The bonus to the money earnt is applyed for every turn that the freighter is inside that sphear of influence, once it is outside it wares off. So therefore if you build the starbase so that the freighter is in the sphear of influence for the longest posibl

That planet sharing idea would make for much more interesting collony rushes! Like when the pesky aliens get to the planet just before yours gets there next turn, you can still land there and claim some of it... then fight them fore it It could be a little tricky to impliment though... and by alittle I probably mean alot! All awsum ideas!

Someone finaly agree's with the general comunity for there not being any great NEED for multiplayer, let alone it being a fesible concept! As kingmob said, the game simply is too time consuming for it to work if the other person will just rage when they start to lose, bot's dont do that!

nope, you should be able to send them back in, you just cant send them anywere outside the area by *clicking* outside of the range.

Build lots and LOTS of morale buildings... No, scrap that. Its just not worth the damage to your Aproval. Just fill a system of about 3 planets with <17mil pops, MUCH safer!

Bigest one ive made is the "Deathbrick" class. I was just muking around and got the huge hull that you use for dreadnaughts and got those MASIVE engine looking things, put them to max size and did 2 layers of them around it It was as big as any planet that you parkd it next to

You have to actualy place engines onto the ship to boost its speed, i normaly put about a third of the space on a ship to engines and have fleets runing around doing 28-34 parsec's and destroying whole empires in a turn!

Nice mate, congrat's on finishing it! Can't wait to hear of more tales from the Confed of Man, send me a PM if/when you make a new one!

yea screw dry reports! I think you should just go on a rampage and kill/enslave everything in this sector before you move on though, coz that's the only thing to do to easy bots

So.... if im playing a game and im getting my ass kicked and well, want some more planets... i just have to make myself the worst in the galaxy and really far behind, look like a noob and stockpile transports (confusing the AI coz i should be building warships) and I have the posobility of getting a shitload more planets right next to me? SWEET!!!

In the tech tree as you reasearch a technology that can be used for ship's it will tell you the ship default design that you have partialy unlocked by researching it and the other tech's needed to make the design avalible. Just to iliterate on what Kyro said, default's suck. There just there as a guideline of what NOT to build, IMHO. They are the express bus to defeat
