I personaly wouldn't mind the abillity to lease out my fleets to the AI's for a controlled amount of money, time, and role (Offensive role, Defensive role or Escorte role) decided in the origional agreement. AI's would pay for the maintanince costs of the vessels and a significant penelty if one of your ships were destroyed (say enough to cover half of the real [amount of bc's it costs to build naturaly, not the buy it now cost] construction cost of the vessel for example)

Arcean industry can be a real powerhouse once it gets going, especialy when you lay down that many factories on a planet. Even with 7 Traditional factories it should be doing a 130bc ship (at a guess, is it a constructor?) in well less then that so the only thing that seems likely to me is that your Production Slider (between Taxes and Military) is way down (normal stratergy is to have it at 100% all the time), and try adjusting your Military/Social/Research sliders to be a little bit more Mi

That is one seriously good starfighter Metal Swarm, I suck at building fighter craft (capital ships are more my thing) and your ones are my inspiration to keep trying (and failing), otherwise the ADF would have a serious flaw =p

While large ships dominate space warfare, its important not to forget about the smaller craft that provide crucial attacking firepower and speed to an engagement. The Arcean Defense Force Starfighter Command uses two primary fighters on the standing fleets capital ships, the Tachya Interceptor and the Mayko Heavy Fighter. Both boast excelent speed and firepower that outmatch's any starfighter yet encountered in Drengin or Yor fleets (it is rumoured that the T

Well its been a while, but Arceas Heavy Space Industies has delivered several new vessels to the fleet to support the Ronin class Frigates and Shogun class Battleships in their quest to purge the galaxy of all evil. Lord Vega has de-clasified the existance of the brand new Volithar class Heavy Frigate, designed primarily for fleet combat against large capital ship based fleets, which some civilisations are starting to field, rather then again

Thankyou Zoomba, and all of Stardock, Ironclad and Gas Powered Games for the stand that you are making against the big companies on our behalf. On every issue you have always gone above and beyond the call of duty, well past the point that any other company would bail out and simply avoid the issue. You are what all companies should aspire to be, and things like this are the reasons why Stardock has been the only pc game company for pc recieving my money since 2006. Thankyou.</p
Everyone here apparently used ImageShack, but I prefer Photobucket.
hey hey, a fellow photobucket user! Promise I'll get around to some more ships soon, I've just been flat out with exams and work and a messy breakup at the moment. Shouldn't be too long before Lord Vega is commissioning the proudest vessels in the Universe again!

And the great thing about the graphics being much better then DA is that they also use up a lot less memory, so your getting more for less from your computer! Enjoy the game mate, it's awesome!

The stuff in here just keeps getting better guys, well done! Really like how you did the .gif animation to show rotating parts Deathadder, thats awesome. Wish I knew how to do that =p

The only thing that I can honestly say is bugging me is: Can we please get a little arrowhead at the top of red war lines in the Treaties screen to indicate who declared war on who, so it's easy to pick war mongers and know who doesn't like who at an even quicker glance? ie: Korath -------> Terran Cheers Brad, your game is incredible!

Constantine the SSX Nova Hound looks sleek, smooth and durable from every angle, like a poisonous dart from the top to a slippery, aerodynamic (excuse the spaceship not being in air) and sensor-invisible shell from the rear. Especially loving the engines aye, they have an incredible amount of detail in them and they look awesome! Definitely stealing that style as well :D

That Scorpion is really well done HazMask! the detail in the legs and torso is really good, along with the way the pincers line up. Well done mate! Mzuz the Helix is an incredibly attractive fighter, its smooth lines and semi-modular looking sections look swift and lethal with an elegant pose about it. I love it!! Somehow I think that Lord Vega is going to imitate that design as soon as he gets a chance :HOT:

This is Galatic Civilizations II as danielost said, and it came out two years ago. The new expansion pack (second one), which a fair few of our ships are based on comes out on April 23rd but is preorder-able if you have a bit of extra cash laying around. Jump in and join the GalCiv community and show us what you can come up with!
I have found that the ship intel function does not provide accurate size proportions(unless that changed in TA-beta). Best views are taken in the shipyard where the proportions are still in the size they were set at.
No, it still doesn't scale them right which is something I would really like to see happen in a patch some time down the track. I'll grab those pictures when I have a moment for you Pesky.

The Ophois is a very impressive vessel constantine, is it based on a medium or large hull? I'm going to guess at large given the Shogun references (thanks, I didn't know the Shogun was good enough for comparisons with others work)! I really like the way the engine's at the back have been made to come out from the body in a flowing way, not breaking any of the sleek, deadly lines that the Ophois possess. The wolf head at the bow of the Ophois is incredibly realistic and very fitting with the name

Super Carriers. The Flagship of every fleet to ever progress to a stage that they are able to build and operate them. The Arcean Empire has reached this point and has revealed plans for their first Super Carrier, taking the best lessons that they had learnt from the outstanding still in service ship designs of the Ronin class Frigate and the Shogun class Battleship (like not using to many pieces, and using a stable TA beta) and applying them to the biggest vessel to ever be created in the sector

Yeah the sort of quasi dome thats flat on one side with some funky stuff pointing out the sides, then I chuck on the thing that looks a bit like a tazer prong from near the bottom of the 'Generic' piece's section and if I'm feeling adventurous sometimes, like in my newest creation to be posted in about 5 minutes I'll even whack two of the buggers on and have a rotating 'quad cannon'. Looks pretty sweet!

307 Replies 857,747 Views

No, I don't even have KHSM downloaded! Yeah, I've normally been satisfied with the parts and stuff that I've been able to find in game. Most of the pieces for the Shogun have been in favorites since the beginning of the year and the Ronin's creation, with the exception of the new turret and the rear hangers hexagon floor/walls (which I'm not using again due to the massive amount of pieces required to make it right and my humble system choking badly on them).

Uorx, the top down in ship builder of the Shogun at maximum range that you requested. With twilights beta change I couldn't open up my Arcean save game, so I started a quick battle of the god's Terran match with Arcean Hull style and grabbed that pic for ya. Hence my Terran colour scheme =p

The finished Shogun has arrived in its final production form and the Office of Lord Vega has let official information finally come out as to its specifications. The Shogun class Battleship has seven Capital Weapons grade fully rotating batteries each one individually being able to tear any Dregin vessel apart in a single shot. A three shot salvo from these vastly improved batteries can destroy even the toughest of battleship sized vessels as proven in testing by firing the monsters at solid tris
That 'big slab' piece that forms the Katana's main hull seems to be really popular as well. It's used on the General's Katana, the Ronin, the Berlin, the Crusader, my Poseidon, the Shogun, and the Ragnarok.
Yep, shamelessly stolen from your original post to trial in my Ronin, then because it was so very awesome it became the foundation of the Shogun as well!
