Reply to AAR: The Yor in AARs

Which leads to some nasty surprises like discovering I was not only starting off near the corner, but I was backed up into the corner by the Korath. . . Fun Fun Fun!

We actually ask people at interviews if they like the Simpsons and Monty Python. That sounds like a job interview I could do well at! However, we want to make a game that we like to play, and I'm afraid that we all like the style of the humor. The humor is one of my favorite features of the game, as I said earli

I do not accept that a person can be given an inherritance or any other benefit on the basis of their race. If no other fair method can be found of determining inherritance then it is unfair to the rest of the citizens of a nation to go ahead with it. Many people for whatever reasons fair or unfair, inherrit nothing from their parents, what they have, the have to earn themselves. If a person of a non indiginous background happens to inherrit nothing from their

Native tital reform was bungled as well leading to the desasterous Marbo court case and all the various repercussions of that which have happened over the years. Ugh! Don't get me started on how gay native title act is! It still makes me shudder every time i think about the last Australia Day celebrations, where none other then Gretchin was forced to acknowledge the Native Title claim on PARLIAMENT HOUSE! So unexpected and unnerving...

Um HELLO!!! This Political Correctness crap happens all the time here in the USA. Our traitorous media spouts this crap out all the time. Oh and don't get me started on your ignorant Iraq commit. Oh and I assume your blaming the current government (I assume Federal) for all the wrongs in the world. But Have you ever stopped to consider that these problems go back further than 8 years and that there were not addressed by the previous party that was in power before 2

Toll roads hehehe we recently had a toll road debarcle here in sydney Australia. The tollway company had it in their contract that if they did not get enough patronage, the state government would agree to close public roads to force people to use the tollway. So of course because the tolway was so expensive, not enough people were using it, so the government did infact begin closing public roads. No one could believe it was happening!! anyway, in the end several high l

I could catch yabbies even in places where traps would get none!! Because yabbies get used to traps and simply won't go in them unless their really starving. I mean i could fill an 8 litre tub with yabbies in a day using the string method. I would probably have about 10 string lines out and that would be enough to keep me constantly busy. Wow! I think I'm gona have to try it your way if ever I get a chance to go out and do it again Mystik! Get a good old

Ah true as, Vic not SA, I should have known better! I know a guy there, Josh in year 10 (dunno which school) has a job as a shelf stacker somewhere. Piece of string aye? nice, that'd work, but then you can't get nearly as many as easily and get a nice feed for brekki in the morning! Well you can but it'd take way longer.. still all good but! Ah, the things that we used to be able to do down here, now you have to live out on a Farm somewhere for your parents to let you do that stuff, my little br

I grew up in a country town (Mildura), had my own airifle illegal now, which was endless fun! I also built my own cubby house and eventually caught a poisonous copperhead snake in there and kept it as a pet! If i wasn't doing that, i was off playing in the irrigation channels, stealing fruit, fishing and catching yabbies and lizards. Ah freedom, it is such a precious thing and it has been pissed away in this country by the endless march of the safety brigade. <br/

but anyway, i think it is a very potent quote to be considered in todays world. Here in Australia we are suffocating under the sheer volume of laws relating to safety, i'm sure it will soon be compulsory to wear pillows all over your body to protect from injury,,, every time some idiot gets killed, and the family goes on tv and cries and all that shxt and demand somthing be done, the government caves in every time and makes even more new stupid safety laws, i am totall

Mebe it is just because i live in Australia, 'the land of the sense of humour' but in this country a grown man of 50 will still laugh at what a 14 year old boy laughs at! The day that a fart is no longer funny, will be a day to be remembered as a day of infamy in the history of mandkind. I'm from Aus to, 16 year old male, and I still manage to smile and giggle at the descriptions and event one liners, there good! I'm pretty sure that I spea

I play suicidal most of the time and its quite do-able without using an 'all' approach. I've never once played with an 'all' style, I'm always mixed. Admittedly it takes longer, I still have no idea how other players can win in 1-2 years on Suicidal Medium+ Map settings, but thats just my style of play. So to answer your question, yes, it is definitely possible. Fate,

Pretty sure although he said it poorly and in an un-logical manner, he has a very valid point. galciv2.com is a place for talk about the game Galactic Civilizations II and Stardock's other fine products, not whether or not we believe in God. I would really like to see either A) These post's not aloud or B) An option to stop anything posted in the Off Topic Forum showing up in the Recent Posts list. Sorry to be a downer, but I'm really fed up with the increasing amounts of Off Topic stuff I have

You should try emailing Stardock at this address and they might be able to help you, [email protected] They are very quick in their reply's. I beg to differ Neilo, I'm still waiting on my copy of DA and confirmation for pre-order TA, sent an email a couple of hours ago! It is something like 6am in the states though.. that probably doesn't help my noble quest to destroy/enslave/conquer the galaxy

Who here from Australia heard the Radio Program 'Cybershack''s review on GalCivII: DA? For those of you who don't get Australian Radio, it was a pritty impresive review, with the main emphisis of it being on the games playability on any type of machine, not just the top of the line gear. That's somthing new that I havn't heard anybody else talk about yet and I'm glad that they made a mention of it. All up, anouther excelent review, keep up the good work Stardock! <img src="http://im

EDIT: @Fate: Your reply, is the single most insulting and racist thing ive read so far on the forum here. Dont be that guy. If you dont like "European" Football, please say so in a less (way less) offensive manner or jog on. "Soccer is teh Suxx0r" would be just about acceptable. But only if you add a smily to the end of the line. Like this. <img id="ImageResize_Image_23" onload="ImageResizer.createOn(this);" src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Wink.gif
