ok this is all sound advice. yet.... my original question was not answered in the slightest . as for going in red late game. perhaps we are not agreeing what "late game is" I usually try to end A game As quickly as possible. so I may build A large army of transports and position them to make one big sweep and take over like 25 planets on the same few turns. sure this ruins me economywise . thats probably due to me not going about it peicemeal and letting a group of conque

Really the only explanation I could come up with is A: (you stated you never had any spies targeting you, so this leads me to believe that the iconians may have been the target of all the yor spies .to the extent that the iconians were crippled . the only problem with this is, that spies are applied and nobody knows the the person who sent them .) ok so I see the AI putting its eco starbases along the path that the space mining route is on . I mean the dotted line going from asteroid to its destination. to get the economy bonus for this what module do i build? the one for social ,military,research production didnt sound like right one to put there. but the other choice gives bonuses to freight. does the game consider space mining Freight? if someone could please give me a breiv description on how to use economy starb

It seems to me that on tough setting, The colony rush consists of about 5-8 planets max now. before you would need to scale back expenditures. the AI seems to still want to go and colonize any planet it sees ,yet I tend to do A bit more scouting . If I find A system with multiple habitable planets then I grab the one with highest quality.(leaving the rest to be colonized by opponents,in hopes that A:they set up trade with me B: (the most likely scenario)I culture flip the planets.<

so there i was creating an nice balanced race. when i got to the point where i choose my tech tree,and i find the option,minor race tech tree. i thought to my self what is in that tree?why would i choose the minor races tree for my race. anyone know if it has colonization ,invasion techs and the other essential techs to win a game even in it? if not ,then where is the vanilla option?

ok i love the ideas posted so far. here are the ones i deffinatley want in. #1 the anomolies fix . make A.I more worried about anomolies late game, and make +25%tech bonus a point total #2 races emerging need defenses. and as an addition i would reccomend they never spawn in occupied space. just make an class 0 instantly turn into habitable planet #3 invasion tactics. man the suggestion for making damage happen at same time as troop combat i like. and also the one wher

thank you for stating the obvious. It is pretty clear that custom races are not yet enabled in TOA that is not the purpose of this post. this is an attempt to get a bit of feedback regarding gauntlets race mod . As an aside. upon starting researching. I find that I have acess to almost every races techs. and i can build like 20 different improvments from the start. i chose the default tech tree when creating my race. ok i downloaded the grmfv which contains the 3 packs so far created by gauntlet i know that the instructions are to put these in the dark avatar directories but i wanted to see if i could apply this to my twighlight game instead. everything seems to work out fine but the custom races i copy them into my my docs/my games/gc2twighlightarnor and see them in the folder. i go to start the game try to use a custom race. yet they dissapeared . sure enough when i go and

I sincerely am hoping that in the final release .you will have adressed the following minor problems that detract from my "fun factor" #1 anomolies : by this i mean respawning anomolies are good. but at least make the A.I want to build survey ships throught the game and not just in beginning ,,anomolies part 2 ..... the +25% to a tech bonus must be replaced by A pre set tech point bonus .. this prevents you from getting a huge tech advantage. because simply put 25% of universa

yea had this happen to me , but one difference. i talked to them immediatly when they appeared. pormptly traded everything i had to them for all his end game techs . then on that very same turn launched one of my fast troop ships and invaded their planet ,conquered them and went about my buisness, but with tmy new end game techs :] it pays to have a few troop ships scattered all throuought your empire simply for the above reasons. I deffinatley agree with delaying the onset of surveying until it is researched.also asteroid mining for that matter. I also feel this way about colony ships. now do not get me wrong . it is essential to get some colony ships from the start. so i propose this .
