I want my box and manual .

ok heres my take on this whole pre ordering deal.
I want the same contents as if i bought it retail.
This game is going to end up at the retail stores in a pretty box. with a manual
I am paying the same price?yes ?no? + shipping .

well do not bother sending me just a freaking disk in a paper sleeve. cause thats ghetto.

you can give me my shipping back and keep the disk.
or send me what i payed for.

I been through this crap with you with dark avater and ,with object desktop 2007 .
no book,no box,just a disk,
no thanks . I can archive my copy for later anyhow .hell i will burn my own pretty disk.

dont bother telling me this is the wrong outlet. i send this exact copy to support.

this is just A heads up for all of you who preordered with the disk.

cancel that shipment. send A clear message .

ToA is download only. So no, it will not be in the stores in a pretty box :)

Actually its not download only. When you order you can request a cd be sent to you. Though you are most correct that it will not be available in stores nor in any fancy packaging.

Like DA though many of us are hoping that SD will release a downloadable and printable cover art of TA so that all you need do is purchase a DVD jewelcase and slip the cover art in.

Question is, why are the charging the Retail Box shipping rate if there isn't a box?

Because there is a minimum that the shipping company will charge. Disc in a sleeve, or
'pretty box', the cost is the same. The difference is, you aren't being charged for the cost of designing and manufacturing that box, or the cost of writing, illustrating, and printing of a physical manual.

Well that's just wrong.  From what I've seen the games cost the same as if you buy it in the store, so the designing and manufacturing of the box, and all that garbage must already be factored in, if I pay the additional cost of shipping I expect to get the same thing that I would get if I went out and bought it retails since I'm actually paying more because of the S&H.  I'm not saying this about any specific product I'm just saying in general for digital downloads, it's the truth.  For example, if you want to pre order the new Elemental game coming out and you want it sent to you via mail it's going to cost 59.99 when I'm sure it's going to cost 49.99 in the store, so I better be getting a box when I order via impulse and want it shipped.  Regardless I get the same service from Impulse if I buy something from the store or I buy it from them.  It still seems for the money you spend you get more if you buy stuff in a retail store, unless it's going to cost you more than $10 in gas to get there and back.
