I the other day designed a ship with insane speed, (29)pc a turn) well for the first few turns it worked fine but then all the sudden my ships now move 3 pc a turn. does this have something to do with the survey module or some bug?

I intend on releasing some mods in the future .changes, would be to improvments tech tree and abilities,also i would like to create some events that trigger if possible. My question for today is ,what can I change of the game freely ,that the AI will actually use ,if I make something new? for example if I change or create a new tech. how far can i go and the computer will recognize as something beneficial enough to build or research. true enough, superdiplomat probably is more effective. furthermore i usually play on tough or higher diff settings and set my opponents cpu usage to 100% so maybe thats why they abuse more than drath .also drath seems to have horrid diplo skill. but either way. the main drive of this post is that bribing to war is just too darn cheap not to use every single game. so I would like to get a concensus here from people whether they agree the (Cost To Bribe War is Too Cheap Compared To The Cost Of War

ok so I been playing gigantic maps with max races, i use all custom races ,these i have found off the "library " from this website. i have found that the custom races with the super manipulator ability seem to cause a bit too much chaos for my liking. most of the time by the 2nd year they have managed to pay about 6 races to war on me and everyone else. so i want to change this , Is it possible to simply change the values for that one super ability so that it does

when i looked at the shodan customrace xml file it lists the logo filemane as shodan_logo3 but in my dark avatar gfx file it lists the shodan logo as shodan_logo8 so i just changed it to shodan_logo8 in the xml file and it works now. so i am not sure whether this is my bad or i downloaded it that way

as you can see ,other planets do appear as icons yet the shodan planets do not. even at max zoom. how do i fix this

ok this is really just a sort of inconvenience but, when i have the map all the way zoomed out all planets appear as icons , but the custom race shodan from the library that i downloaded actually does not, its planets that are colonizied only appear as small images of planets . even at maximum zoom . what causes this and how can i fix it. . only this one race appears this way.

For me . increasing the size of my pagefile to 4096 which is 4 gig seemed to solve all errors i have had.

I have A few Ideas for some changes to dark avatar. #1 I would like to have events that are triggered, what i mean is that certain paremiters would need to be met before occurence. Ok I usually play on the challenging difficulty setting ,while the computer seems to have a grasp on its micromanagment of colony improvments, it does not have the slightest clue how to manage its economic growth,often i notice that the computer uses leases(never have I found that to be cost effective)to buy factories,colony and other ships in its mad dash to colonize planets. i recently downloaded the 3 add ons for ship components created by general pants. in their readme the instructions for instalation say to simply extract to my favorite mods folder. which confuses me. do i have to add these files to an existing mod or can i use them standalone somehow. where do i extract them to excactly and do i need to create a subfolder or anything?i tried to just put them in the mods folder and they do not appear in the list to activate mods, in my in game options . and

the three sliders that modify spending on social \military\and research are how much of your total beakers and hammers you allocate to any of the above fields :IE 33% military/33%social/33%research. when set this way each of those 3 will get 1\3 of the total of your beakers and hammers you produced on your planets . Recently I played A Gigantic map with 9 races and minor races . I had numerous ships which were being outdated so I decided to sell them off to another race ,possible for some techs or some money. well when I presented the option to a race the Drath I decided to see if i could get any planets for my ships.
