economic treaty gives you (if you are the receiver) 10% of the income of the giver. research treaty gives you 10% of his tech points, in my understanding this is 0 if he doesn't spend any money on it. economic treaty is worth more, also to the AI.

it would be kinda interresting make the ammount of planets WITH the need of a certain gravity less but make the techs to get ot them be in the middle of the techtree. however i also like this.

every race has 1 super ability, the ability from the YOR is exactly what your describe, if you are in there line of influence your speed is reduced to 3. so, gonna attack them, make slow ships withj big guns on them, since speed won't matter anyway. if you play a custom race, you can also get this ability. some more abilities from other races are: * if moral is 100%, your population will grow very fast * extort people and have minions in war (dunno exactly what i

oh, one more thing. i had spies send to the drengin and alterian, both were hostile to me but never declared cause i was so much better. once i took my spies back they both went back to cool and neutral, like they knew it was me who sended those spies to them that true?

spies rock. what i ment with my post is, the IA was sending his spies to me, than it got involved in a few wars (not with me) and still sended his spies to me. but like frogboy said, its a work in progress.

well, i don't think its an exploit, well mayb a little. but the slider to increase espionage like in galciv II has been removed. what i saw the only way to get intell on your enemy is through spies, the whole espionage thing from galciv is gone.

but while you are giving away your militairy, and your playing in gigantic, crippling with 9 oppononts, maybe that player will not declare on you, the others will for not having any power at all.

yea i agree on pretty much all of your points. the super spy ability gives you 1 spyu at the start and supposed to make you imune for spies. so far this doesn't work. and indeed spies are to good against IA atm also, imo IA should also retreat his spies if another player becomes more powerfull or is at war with him.

why would it be powerfull? you start with 5B pop always, (a normal planet) and 20B is already to much, wich means 2 farms is enough for 1 planet. so if a race got a 100% farm bonus, it would save him just a few tiles only. i'd rather have an ability that says your first terraform level tiles are abailable at the start already.

big empires with lots of happiness and low tax don't earn much money thus cannot make allot of spies, seems logical to me.

i believe the research and economic % are based on your basic income, your total income is base income + every bonus like economic buildings, super projects, race abilities, mining resources. so if you have 100 dollars and 100% economic % you get 200 if you than take a economic mine and get it to 9%, you get 100 dollars + 109% = 209 dollars and not 218. with moral, the 15% of the building i believe is correct but if you have your tax at a certain point and a high ammount

that doesn't sound logical, i mean in a big level those tiles have less influence on 1 race and in a small level it can make a big differents.

well restart and start again also the new update available is likely not DA but galciv II 061 build (nobody is sure what it is yet, i installed it though). to add DA to SDC fire SDC up, go to tools, register product, select DA and add your serial to it and it will appear and you can install it. good luck

i have the 139 build to and it worked for me. hey, this is just a very wild guess, but when i logged into SDC it said that Galciv II had an update (NOT DA), the 061 update (while the last one was the 053 build), maybe you need that small upodate before you can start installing DA? its a wild guess though.

i believe in the second last post on the journals, it said that the superabilities "kind of work" so i wouldn't be suprised if a ability does not work, i'd say report it here and it will be fixed.

start stardock central go to tools > register product select DA and enter serial and you can than download the game. have fun.

i have no idea also what 061 is, i have it updated to 061 though (its not DA) you can add DA to stardock central in options, you need to add it and enter the serial somewere, than the download of DA will appear and you can install it. but you will need the serial for it.
