Drengin: Once it's available I dont see why not It'll probably be around 2 tolkens.
Ah great. I just had 2 tokens left which I didn't knew to use for what. So I guess I'll buy it. Not for the USA elections stuff, but because Lord Kona needs a serious competitor which promises more wars, more efficient slave pits and universal tyranny for all!
It's absolutely pathetic.
Your strategy?... Probably. ;) First, 45% morale is bad. It means that your population growth is very low and on some planets of yours you'll even lose people. But since people = money you're dooming yourself. ;) Try to maintain 100% morale as long as possible (double growth!). Finance your early expansion with tech selling, anomaly hunting, and other forms of diplomacy. But get your morale up, that's
I can't stress enough how fast I was done. I didn't get a chance to meet many races even. We are talking 50 turns at most. By bankrupt I mean that at 0% spending I was still in the red by 12BC per turn even with taxs pushed up so that I had 50% moral instead of 70ish. (Which is SOP for me at the start of the game.)
That's what you're doing wrong. To get money you'll need people and to get people you need low taxes. Try to have 100% approval on all planet
There simply are enough of us to spare as canon fodder.
Typo alarm. I'm quite sure that should read: There simply are not enough of us to spare as canon fodder.
Congrats! :CONGRAT: You know, after this news I would really like to trash some German game magazines that gave GalCiv2 such bad marks. :( But sadly I've never bought one of those magazines after their GalCiv2 test again, so I can't really be bothered to bring them the news. :p Whatever, keep up the good work!
We do not currenly have a game setting that allows you to turn "Tech Stealing" off (like we do for "Tech Trading") on the galaxy setup screen. It's not a bad idea though, I'll toss the idea around the office and see what everyone thinks.
Yes please. I really dislike tech stealing. Stealing Black Hole cannons is a bit lame, when I haven't had researched anything in that tier. ;)
SO i can set the military slider to zero and still gt ships built if that planet has no social projects in the queue?
Nope, you need at least a military spending of 1%.
Oh, purdy. :d The tidal wave and massdriver attacks will look awesome, I hope. :D
Ah, you know, I managed to stop playing GalCiv quite some time ago. But all this news about the addon make me excited. Looks like my addiction will come back... Damn you Stardock, damn you!
I highly doubt that the thread creator is an atheist. I mean, what's the point in asking questions to a made up being in which you don't even believe? Or even debating things about nonexistent stuff? Uh... my grammar is crap. Need more sleep right now.
It means they get 100% of their tax income -- like the player. Imho you should change the description then. As it is at the moment it reads like the cpu gets additional money, which could confuse some players. (Especially german reviewers who are to lazy to check back with you if they're right about what they write. <img src="http://imag
GC3 is at least a couple of years away, I'm betting that advances in the game industry and the skills of stardocks dev team will be sufficient to cope with the increased level of complexity. Not necessarly, since this is an inherit problem of any autoresolve system. The problem as I see it is the following. If you want to
That's quite fun. Link
Nah, there is no difference. (At least for you.) If you buy it in a store you're also able to download it from stardock via your serial number. So do as you like and join the madness.
GCII auto resolves now as it is. Frankly, there would be a big difference. The current autosolve is quite accurate enough because the current system is simple enough. But if the system would be changed in complexity to something just a tiny bit like homeworld tactical combat (for example) an accurate autosolve would be nearly impossible.
God help us when we really try to colonize the galaxy, then. Actually it's imho not that hard to understand a 3d enviroment in space, if some sort of homeworld like aproach is being taken. Homeworld was full 3d in space and after some learning it was quite easy to understand and use. But what I dunno is: would the benefits of a 3d m
Well, you can archive your game through Stardock Central. After you've downloaded it just right click on your game, select archive application and then burn it to a dvd.
huh? that is the oddest bit of logic i have ever heard. Are you female? Huh? In this case you're a male? Thats probably one of the more bad sexist joke I've read in the last few weeks. And I've got a lot of friends who tend to be on the macho side... oh well, some people never advanced from the medieval... <i
Beruhige dich. Du wirst kaum eine ernsthafte Antwort bekommen, wenn du so ein flame post schreibst. Ne? So, calm down. Btw. yes, there is some problems with being able to build ships (also the core ships) withouth having to need the techs if the techs are not available in the mod. But your attacks against the mod are still unnessecary harsh.
That just has to do with the intensity of gamma rays though. The gamma rays themselves wouldn't be any more dangerous than the same amount of energy transferred as visible light. In fact, Gamma waves have long wavelengths, which means that most of the energy would pass right through you. Yep. IIRC the killing would be because the gamma rays w
We kind of use gamma rays now... and I'm not dead. That's either crap or very, very, very simplified to the point of being... pointless. I suppose what he meant was a gamma ray burst which is quite deadly if it happens near you ( Gamma ray burst are created when a star collapses into a black hole
I agree. I also bought GalCiv2 after I've heard about your custommer support and your patch policy. (And of course because of the lack of copy protection and because I've played GalCiv1.) Continue with that and GalCiv3 will be on my order list as soon as you announce it. (And not being able to wait for the addon too. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Wink.gif" bord
+ made it so that you can put a TechTree.xml file in the Mods\Data folder and it reads that in instead of the one in the regular data folder. I would love if you would add the same for the PlanetImprovements.xml. I would love to be able to disable those starting buildings. It would also be nice to be able to disable core ships for mo
At least thats what I have read somewhere, I hope I remember correctly. Well, you don't remember correctly. Currently this numbers doesn't scale with the PQ. So it shows for example 15Billion max for a PQ 3 planet... which makes it quite useles
