Anyway, the Flying Spaghetti Monster created the universe and everything else is a lie. Come on, prove me wrong! All hail the flying spagetthi monster. (And don't start speaking about creationism vs. evolution. One being a science theo

Sadly, there is no option to do so. Which is really annoying me currently, since I play a gigantic galactic currently and I'm at war with the strongest enemy. Raaaaahhh..... What helps a bit when your ships have to travel longer distances is to scroll into a corner of the map so you can't see a ship and then press turn end. This speeds it up a bit.
Good analysis e-stab. - To better adapt both the trade income and research costs to different maps and galaxy sizes, it might be a good idea to base their values not on the galaxy size, but on the total number of planet quality available in the galaxy. The sum of all
Careful what you post, Quitch - there's a base of rabid fanboys around on these forums and they're bound to bite unless you brainlessly praise the game, even if your points are valid. You're talking nonsense, strategist. The only reason your posts aren't liked is because in about every post you make you mention Civ IV. That's fanboyism. <b
Put a clock on top of your monitor. Do you really look at the top of your monitor when your conquering those pesky humans? Well, I don't do it, so it could benefit from an ingame clock.
Initiative Combat: A lot of pen & paper systems use this form to decide who gets to roll first. Fine and dandy right? Nope. Again all I need to do is make sure my ships are built with the best initiative possible and I can still wipe you out and not only that now if you attack me and I'm defending I get to fire first and wipe you out. Not to mention what happens when two f
Terrans: The Drath have declared war on us, help! Me: All right, here is some money I will go talk to them. Drath: This war would seem to be a mistake on our part... Me: Fine how about a peace treaty between our empires, and you make another with the Terrans? Drath: Very nice. I had quite a big grin on my face
Well, I suck at this stuff, but since the scoring is a mix between military score, economic score, amount of research, population amount, length of game and dificulty are there the following possibilities for higher scores. -Military conquest gives the most. Reason: The more planets, the more population and money. And you get all planets if you win this way. -Research everything be
- Allow fleets over a planet to defend using the current logistics ability by default Agree. Building a fleet manager is a waste of a completly good and useful tile. - make ships on both sides
Only if you pass our rigorous DNA testing. Because of the profound knowledge of genetic manipulation I've got from researching Xeno Farm Construction III this shouldn't be a problem of him. Btw. nice to know that you people work hard
(Unless you want to explain this away as soldiers being insanely stupid and dying very much in training) He he he, good idea. Seriously, well, the thing about the number is that troops are counten in legions. Each legion is a mi
Seconded.
Imho this is the best system I've seen by far. No permanent connection needed like steam (steam... grrr...). No useless cd copy protection that just cripples my dvd burner (starforce... grrr...). No useless protection that forces me to deactivate Nero or some other cd-emulation program (grrr...). No need for a CD or DVD in your drive. Able to play it without the need of an activation. Able to download the game when you've lost
Nuetral Wonders and Buildings still not functioning. [BETA 1.1 B4] NLC works, as for the others, haven't tried. Savegames take forever 1st save and two autosaves after then game saves as normal. [v1.1] </T
Still no elections after 2 weeks... Try it with starting a new game. AFAIK the old settings are saved within the save itself, so it could be because of this... ... perhaps.
1. A+D+H/10=military score (A=Attack, D=Defense, H=Hit points) (and yes, this score calculation sucks) 2. Yep, it only does it once a year which also sucks and makes the game too easy... (But's still a great game. )
All normal building only work for the planet it's built on. All trade goods work empire wide and can only be traded once (per race and you can't aquire same goods twice). Super projects and galactic achievements are a bit trickier but mostly its written in their description if they work empire wide (like the Restaurant of Eternity or just for the planet like all capitals.)
A) Not following standard coding practice and checking return codes from memory allocations and then doing a graceful exit when RAM is low. B) Not optimising the code to use less RAM. ~1.5GB is clearly too much for what it is doing. You've read their code? Wow, I also want to do it. Where can I have a look at it? Btw. as s
What the hell? You've got screenshots of that? Or a save game? Btw. what exactly do you mean with blowing up. Never heard of that btw. Can it be that someone had a research victory?
Lords Of The Realm 2. of making a Medieval version of GalCiv2? A ga
Uh sorry people. But what your telling about the AI bonuses is just not true. The AI does not get unlimited or free money. The AI does not get free research and production points. The AIs stuff does not get everything multiplied by 200 so they would have 1200pp factories. Thats just bullocks. (Sorry for my language). What the AI gets on higher difficulties are certain boni. Think of them as the same as the ability boni you can pick at the beginnin
Delete the files inside this order: My documents\My Games\GalCiv2\ships and/or My Documents\My Games\GalCiv2\Metaverse\ships for metaverse ships.
The mods are no longer there but the problem is and as for the debug.err how do I do that? Go to your *\Stardock\GalCiv2 directory (the one where you've installed the game). There is a file called debug.err. Open it with a text editor and post its content here. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Smile.gif" border=0 ALIGN
? Strange. But as for your missing CD, you can download the game via Stardock Central.
As you can see, it's somewhere else for everyone.... happy looking. Had one on the second cd which was the collections editor serial at the same time...
