To download or brick & motar purchase the game?

Is there any benefit to downloading the game from this site over going to the store and purchasing it? The cost of the two options are within $.50 of each other. Thanks.

Nah, there is no difference. (At least for you.)

If you buy it in a store you're also able to download it from stardock via your serial number.

So do as you like and join the madness.

Good luck finding it in a store. I've never seen it. (been 4-5 times i've looked, just to see what the box really looks like)

Just buy it online. You'll want to update it anyway to 1.2, so unless you really want the box i don't see why not to just do the online. (unless you've got dial up i suppose...)

I bought mine in a store. I see one just about every time I go browsing through the stores that sell video games.

I purchased in the store too.. BestBuy .... I prefer having the
CD in hand over buying a digital copy.

I bought it online because I was able to download the basic compondents, and when the box arrived, install the whole thing.

I found my copy at *gasp* Wal-Mart. It was all silvery and said Collector's Edition...I couldn't resist. Of course, after installing it on my PC, I promptly downloaded it via StarDock onto my personal and work laptop.

I think that Brad and Co. get to keep more of the money if you download it.

Brad has said that whatever way is best for you is best for them. While they may get more money from a direct sale, retail sales help by raising reorder quantities, and increasing GC2's (and Stardock's as a whole) public profile by boosting GC2 on sales lists, etc.

Well, take a look here http://totalgaming.stardock.com/store/index.aspx?page=purchasetokens and here http://totalgaming.stardock.com/games/?id=GC2 , and look how many $ you will really spend. And know that an expansion will come

And here http://totalgaming.stardock.com/store/ you have all games available on TGN.
