After reading their varient of a EULA (The thing most people blindly click "I Agree"). I've come the the conclusion that Google's chrome is not only similar to Facebook, but almost exactly the same in purpose. And once again anything that you use chrome for like uploading or sharing (Like Facebook) is tracked and tagged. And if I read it right, again just like Facebook anything you do upload (Pictures, video, written works) now become fair
starkers - I get the feeling you may think I was somehow 'defending' Google. Far from it. The 'begged question' was "So Google considers that 'standard'?"
Well yeah, it's actually pretty standard for most that want to legally display people's content for public consumption. That's why it's in the terms for all of their products where you post things publicly and not anywhere else.

Oh, and it's not you're bandwidth, you just rent it! If you guys are that scared of the internet then perhaps you should disconnect from it, permanently! You guys are small timers and no one want's to get you through the pc trust me! Really, if you don't like it then don't use it, why all the d

/sigh I hate defending Google (working for a major competitor) but I think I have to here. Google doesn't track your every move for marketing purposes at all. In fact, Google is the only major player to not employ any type of behavioral/user tracking. The GMail part is purely contextual based on what's in your inbox. If you leave GMail, nothing you get served from Google ties into it. Nor does any data related to Google Analytics tie into

I'm not sure I buy the idea that DRM is really going that direction. It's not a debate over whether it's theoretically possibly, of course it is. However, as more and more things are going open on computers and DRM is failing overall (every major music label has opened up to varying degrees now), I believe we're actually finally seeing large businesses learn to adapt to new market conditions. Speaking in regards to DRM overall (not just gaming): Piracy is obviously an issu

Going to have to disagree with Warcraft, while it was an early popular part of the genre, Dune II I think deserve more credit than Warcraft.

Even more so with self-sacrifice. The man/women who pushes a child away from a moving bus (or stampeding buffalo) can no longer spread those good person genes. I think you get it by now. That desire likely arose when everyone next to you was your kin. In that way you are spreading a portion of your genes (depending on your own likelihood to breed again, and the likelihood of the c

if that is so, you need to ask yourself if you were still "you" after you had been beamed up onto the U.S.S enterprise by scotty. That always bugged me. But one not even go that far, are "you" still "you" year after year? None of the matter in you is the same as it was a year ago.

Religion, infects youre mind, and makes you think god exists. It's like a virus that gets you addicted to the virus. Lets not talk religion. Lets talk near death experiences. I think that is decent evidence for God and the afterlife. People who have near death experiences are ABSOLUTELY CONVINCED they know God exists. If millions of people said they were robbed last night and you weren't would you beli

Oops I missed this one. Religion and Politics are the only reasons for war! And religion happens to start most of them! There were seven crusades. Why do you think so many people supported the war in Iraq? Most wars are for economic motivations. The Crusades were no different. Religion is often the enabler, but there's ulterior motives most of the time. Why did we nuke japan instead of G

Disease, we can fight. You can become imune to certain diseases, they infect your body. Religion, infects youre mind, and makes you think god exists. It's like a virus that gets you addicted to the virus. Why does religion have to be demonized? What is religion but a set of belief. Couldn't science be considered a religion? Why does it matter if god exist or not? Why can't we just go on our way and do w

To go through some random points on here: delude yourself so you do not feel so small and insignifigant Actually, many religions promote humility. Infact Christianity teaches that we are no more than dirt. Hmm, I must be imagining all the parts that the various Religions of Abraham tout about the universe being created for Man... You insist that

You say triplicity but I don't think that makes sense. Why the number three rather than say 400, what is so special about three? Because three was important number in many religions/cults/superstitions before Christianity. Some things just keep carrying along.

Fundamental premise: Christian God - I'm going to put the source of knowledge next to you and give you free will, but you should remain ignorant. Christian Devil - Go ahead, seek knowledge. Well that's it! Game over. We all lost. I happen to know quite a lot, and so do many other people... And I thought there was once so much promise in the world... Great to know we're all f

and the '93 Trade Center bombing: there's one seemingly legitimate case. okay, now contrast it to U.S. military action taken over the same period of time in the broad region for which Al Queda feels it speaks. all this still side-steps my bigger point: What about the two embassy's in Africa?
