They fixed almost all the problems that you listed - just disable tech trading xD its too easy with tech trading and AI allt rade between themselves, everyone got the same weapon shiled and the race personality is gone Yes, by disableing tech trading, all the "problems" dissapear. Unfortunately, in order to fix this glaring AI weakness we hav

I saw this once too. It appeared to me that a small freighter (the ones that show up after a path has already been established) was in the same spot as the planet. I waited one turn, and it moved on. My planet was back to normal. By the way, I was able to view that planets in orbit by going into the details screan for the planet. From there I could kick the ships out of orbit and use them.

Who the heck rolls a d100? There is a reason most tabletop games use multiple dice, it's called "using the bell curve" to eliminate this sort of silliness. Hahaha, sorry I find this to be very funny. Funny because it is true.

Masochistic. Was planning to go to obscene next but what difference does it make what the numerical advantage is? The problem is the AI doesn't use the units it creates. To be honest, I haven't noticed much change in the computer behavior from my first game on begginer to my last game on Masochistic. The only difference was the increase in production etc.

To be honest, I am really jealous of those that are having a difficult time playing. My last game on Obscene was proof to me that chances are I will not lose this game before 1.1 is released. I played on a large map, and managed to only get three planets to my name after the initial rush. Earth mars and one that was like an 8 I think. To make things even more difficult, I chose to align with good from the beginning. Evil just makes things easy. G

Wow, never thought of this before. I can see the argument on both sides quite easily. I can see why It shouldn't take effect if the invasion fails, in order to prevent the devistation of these planets with simple half ass attacks. However, I now need MUCH less transports to accomplish the goal. Oh WOW, this game is even easier now. I have quit playing the game untill the release of 1.1. I feel it is just way too easy. One of the only difficultie

I was a victim of unknowingly having two fleets selected at the same time (I hate this). Went to move the desired fleet, and by doing so mistakenly moved my unprotected fleet of four transports right next to an enemy planet. It was an easy kill for the AI. I was a little upset, but had full confidence that the AI would not take advantage of this. I was right, the AI did nothing and continued its strategy of never moving anything ever. Not even to

Ah yes, this topic again. I am against it completely. Before the release, I didn't want one second of the dev's time taken away from the developement of the AI. I still feel that tactical combat is too easy for a human player. And even including it as an option takes away so much developer time and resources. However, due to the fact that the game is so obsurdly easy I guess it wouldn't make much of a difference if tactical combat was included or

Been playing the game for some time now, and only had crashes here and there. Now I am playing a game, and the game seems to crash every few turns. This is really getting anoying bla, bla, bla... I know I am not providing the right info as of yet. But, how do I get this "debug" report, or whatever it is I need to get help? As I am using version 1.0X, and have ALL the current drivers.

plus, you can increase the trade revenue by placing economy starbases in areas where trade roughts pass through. Look into this also. But like it was said above, free money!

My first game was a small universe on beginer. Increased the difficulty every game. Now I am almost done with a large map on crippling. To be honest, I haven't found the AI tough to beat yet. I don't restart, and don't use the cheesy transport raider either. If the final version of 1.1 isn't available before I finish this game, then I will go to masochistic. The tactics I use are nothing special. 1. Tech whore like crazy, es

I think that in order for a computer to stand a chance, it must cheat. It should get extra bonuses. Although it shouldn't trade with itself and exclude the human like in Civ III, it should at least charge the human more per trade. In GalCiv, I notice that some of the AI's are pathetically weak. They are so far behind in tech, that they just become super tempting targets. I can't help but play evil because it is so easy. And it definately needs a p

I believe the AI in this game is better than the AI that you would see in other games of this nature. However, I do believe that this game is at least 10 times harder for the computer to play than a game like Civ. So far, I believe that Civ III (my old favorite for years) was much harder than this game is now. Aside from the fact that the Civ III AI cheated, I think there are some basic game charactaristics that made a game like civ far easier for t

I haven't installed the beta, so I really can't comment o the Torians being unstopable. However, I have read posts about how the Yor are unballanced, or how the Torians are unballanced. I have played numerous games now, and have moved up to crippling. And one thing I noticed is that the Torians were NEVER powerful in any of the games I played. They were always WAY behind in tech, and just seemed to be ganged up on by everyone else wanting an easy k

The Korx have three planets. I blindside them and take their homeworld and their little buddy planet. I thought they would surrender. They didn't, so I took my one remaining transport that was close by and escorted it too the third planet. Turns out the Korx had quite a large military that I was ill equiped to deal with in that particular location. They came in with some transports out of nowhere and recaptured the two planets before I had time to

Sorry for the quick repost, but I would just like to commend blass because although english is not his native language, he obviously speaks more than one, which is a greater accomplishment than myself and many others. Honestly not trying to start anything here, just wanted to mention it.

Of course it isn't a bug, but it could be better. I have seen this topic several times as well and it will just go round and round about if it is "realistic" or not. Truth be told, it isn't realistic and neither is the fact that the next star system is only five times further away than the earth is to the sun. The only reason I would like it changed is because I think it is too easy to attack and capture planets. The defender is at such a disadvant

I have also experience the turn issue and the issue where two different units respond to the same click. Sometimes I wish that the turns were more distinguishable. And I wish that cycling through units didn't seem so random. Another thing, and maybe this exists but I don't know for sure. I wish there was a button that skiped a units turn without selecting guard. That way, I am sure that I looked at all units befor I hit end turn. Also

I have had this problem numerous times. I have one theory that they consider their starbases bases like planets. Even the major races. So if you are bunched up beside one of them they think you are going to invade thier home. And believe me, they are not too good for thier home. Anyway, since minor races spam influence bases all over creation, then there is a chance there is one close by to one of your ships and maybe you don't even realise it. J

This is probably a rediculous question, but I am clueless. I hear the word "beta" and I think it must be the trial version. So, I will download the beta, and then some time later the real v1.1 comes out? Is the beta being released in order to get feedback for the real thing?
