Not another "game is always crashing" thread

Been playing the game for some time now, and only had crashes here and there. Now I am playing a game, and the game seems to crash every few turns. This is really getting anoying bla, bla, bla...

I know I am not providing the right info as of yet. But, how do I get this "debug" report, or whatever it is I need to get help? As I am using version 1.0X, and have ALL the current drivers.

I thought you said this wasn't a game is always crashing thread
anyway, debug.err is created in your main game folder.
something similar to C:\Program Files\Stardock\TotalGaming\GalCiv2

In the OP's defense I think it was meant as in "Oh no, not another game is always crashing thread."

Or I'm wrong and he just wanted to trick unsuspecting readers so as to torture them because that's how he gets his kicks. Yeah, that must be it. Your one sick puppy!

Don't know if this is helpful....

Do you have enough memory in your PC?

I like playing the larger maps (lots of expansion posibilities). When I started playing GalCiv 2 (on large maps) the game crashed like every 20 turns. Both hard system reboots as well as 'normal' exiting to windows-style crashings. I had the same thing with Civilization IV, so I gave it some attention on the internet. There I learned it to be a memory thing. I switched to smaller maps in both Civ IV and GalCiv2 and the crashing went back to once or twice per game.

If you have 512 MB, Buy more memory or restrict your maps to 'medium' or better yet 'small'.

Today it is fine. My computer must have been on the rag last night. But the info is still very usefull as I am sure it will crash again.
