I have'nt been Nuetral or Evil yet. I only just found out that in order to get the benefits and that you must research Xeno Ethics. Though if I had to guess i'd say go Evil for the Conquer the Galaxy approach, Good for Alliance victory, and Neutral for Influence Victory.
any thing above Intelligent they get bonuses. Intelligent is the highest difficulty before they cheat.
I've always seen galciv 1 in various stores but never bought it or played it. When I found out about Galciv 2 I download the demo of galciv 1.
some where in the options screen you can select how far away you need to be to go to strategic view. You must have to set to close.

My first game after I bought the game. I was playing as human, on beginner difficulty, after a while the Arceans owned the Dengin, Yor and slowly the Altereans. The Altereans asked for my help so I decided to attack the Arceans. I had a whole bunch of fleets surrounding one Arcean world I figured I was gonna overkill them... I was soo wrong. The defenses around the planet took out everything I threw at them. And even worse they were sending ships in to destroy my troop transports. So y

Not just the event movies but the intro movie also stutters. The tutorial movies work fine. Any suggestions on how to fix it?

One time I got trapped up against the side of the map with just the starting planet and the class 4 thats always there. Those were my only two planets the 2 stars next to mine were the home of the other races. So next patch I would suggest scattering the starting positions of the races out a little bit.
When i want to scroll the description of a bonus tile to see what kind of improvement to put on it, the scroll arrows don't work. So I have to guess what goes there by what its bonus is.

Wow, I am suprised gamespot gave it 9.0 usually they are quite harsh with their ratings. Stardock should be a model for the rest of the industry.
I've noticed in my short time of gameplay that approval rating does seem to constantly drop. But then again I've only played a couple of hours.
I was able to find the game at Woodburn Dreadmart (Walmart). And guess what else. Its the Collectors Edition, in fact it was only the Collectors Edition. I've been playing since 5:30. If I could I would play well into the morning but unfortunatly I have school. BTW, Thank you Stardock for an awsome space empire building game.

I would love to love it but my parents frown upon online download and purchase thing on stardock. So I still must wait. Sometime in the future could there be an area in the forums where players can post their own stories of gameplay. I think that would be pretty cool.

Should I order Galciv2 from EB Games website? It seems that they have it in stock on their online store. Or should i just wait and see if I can get it next weekend at a store? But the painful thing is waiting.
I went to 5 different stores that sell PC games: Software Etc, EB Games, Walmart, Circuit City, and Best Buy. All of them said that their shipments were behind schedule and to check back Monday or Tuesday. and Best Buy said that they only have 3 on the way. I might as well just wait a couple of weeks. Now I just need to find a game I already own to keep me occupied for that time.
