Skipped Oregon?

I went to 5 different stores that sell PC games: Software Etc, EB Games, Walmart, Circuit City, and Best Buy. All of them said that their shipments were behind schedule and to check back Monday or Tuesday. and Best Buy said that they only have 3 on the way. I might as well just wait a couple of weeks.

Now I just need to find a game I already own to keep me occupied for that time.

Yeah i live in portland oregon and had the same problem here, but i dont trust the store employees to know all they are supposed to know...so i went and looked around and found 1 copy of Gal Civ 2 at EB games at the Lloyd center mall that they said they didn't have on the phone when i called them...so i guess i got lucky....so if u call these stores to see if its in...try just going in and look around..they dont always update their computers inventory right away u know.

I have never called a store to see if they have it in.
I'll try again this weekend. If they still don't have it I may have to take a trip to Fry's in Wilsonville.

I have played that Oregon Trail game in Elementary and Middle School for an educational game its actually fun.

After work Saturday I will check Fred Meyer's one last time, Sunday I will go to Fry's and if they don't have it I will just order it from EB or Gamestop.

EB in Vancouver mall had one but it was a pre-order. I gave up and started to download it. Got the main game but can't get anything else and can't get a response to my ticket.

So for some reason EB seems to be the only place in this area getting them.

Fred Meyer's usually doesn't get a game in stock until several weeks after release, though there's probably been some exceptions like The Sims, Halo, and possibly console games (I really haven't checked). EB or Fry's or some actually dedicated computer store like that will definitely get any given game before FM does.

Gecks did you click on the + symbol next to the Galactic Civilizations II listing in Stardock, to get the movies, multimedia files, etc? I don't know if that's what you mean by getting the 'main game and nothing else'. Also, I still wouldn't know about getting the patch through Stardock, personally I got it through the link that the developer put up to download the patch as a regular file, rather than getting it throug Stardock. Also, I've heard they might be a bit overloaded on Stardock lately.

I found it. The collectors edition at the Walmart supercenter in Woodburn.

Yeah, whoever grabbed at EB at Van Mall was lucky - that was the only copy I could find that week that it came out in the Vancouver / Portland area.

I was finally able to snatch one of three copies at the 82nd Best Buy a week after the game's "release." A worker at the Airport Way Best Buy took my number and was going to call me when they got it in, but he hasn't called me yet. Weird.

I was at the Best Buy on 82nd on Sunday and they told that they would have it before Wednesday so i guess he was'nt kidding.

I bought mine online. Was quick and easy and I was playing in about 45 minutes.
