Hrm, Drath have access to Healing pools, is that a bug? Also they have the temple which increases morale by 15% and the healing pools which increase by 18% both maintenance free, which makes the temples totally pointless other than temples coming slightly earlier but a 3% increase?... Drath really need some updated morale structures unless morale is supposed to be one of their weaknesses? Just a suggestion but as the Drath are supposed to be huge and have low population hows a

personally i think that the ethics are ok, good is weak evil is strong.. fine, but i also think the relations modifier should be so that good civilzations get ++ relations modifiers with good and netural while evil civilziations are -- with EVERYNONE, even each other... your evil! you dont need friends! and neutral civs get + relations with good and other netural civs and - with evil. That would mean as evil you have enemies everywhere, sure you CAN make friends but its going to take al

Maybe in GC3 we'll see the Drath becoming a minor civilization. What i'd like to see is maybe a leaf out of "Birth of the Federation"'s book whereby you could get minors to join you as well as conquer them, they would give you special buildings that could only be built by that civilization... of course maybe GC3 could take that a step further and say that having a minor race gives you access to more technology to your tech tree as the new civilisation leads its specialities and ideas to your own

I've tried to pin down exactly where they are getting these high end technologies but i think they might just be pulling it from the ether. The bizzare thing is they are dont seem to want to trade them for anything so how they managed to get them in the first place puzzles me... i've had contact with races that at first dont have it then suddenly seem to aquire it. And it always seems to be the same techs, invulnrability field and the engine techs warp drive/hyper warp. <br

Ok some of my little suggestions. First off i want bigger planets, not sure who else feels this way but 90% of worlds being class 9 or worse is frustrating especially with all the new buildings you can construct, space gun for example, awsome idea! but its just not worth the tile space when you only have 10 or so to play with. For this i would say either give another option for world quality (mostly poor, mostly average, mostly good) or altneratively give each of the extreme co

While i think its one of Twilights strengths that you can trade the unique techs between races (most of them anyway) i dont think the Yor should be dependent on getting morale tech from other races just to survive. I've boosted the energy stalks to give 15/25/40 morale and it worked fairly well, unfortunately you still have the problem of once you reach 19b people or so your morale will drop faster the more stalks you place so you reach a point where more stalks just causes more problem

I've seen as minor race which had this technology about turn 7 into the game, there is no way in the seven shades of heck they could have managed to research it that fast, they didnt have any of the prior propulsion techs just hyperwarp 3 and some other low techs that you'd expect them to have.

A few things i'd like to mention The introduction of race unique one per planet buildings such as the central mine, temple of memories and the research one (research matrix i think?) for the Yor, all very good but i've noticed not as good as a 2nd-3rd tier building of the same type (i.e central mine not as good as a third tier factory)i suppose this is to give the race a head start at the beginning of the game but the central mine cant actually be demolished so you end up with less in

I think it’s a tribute to Stardock and all their hard work that when they say “what do you think now or more time?” that everyone says “take your time” because we know the final product is going to be fantastic and well worth it. And the editor looks fantastic, cant wait to get my sticky paws on that, good work!

Look at it this way, the Drengin Empire in Gal Civ 2 will ALWAYS start out as evil, regardless of if you want to play a good Drengin Empire or not. So if you want to go good maybe you have to trade for factory technology to swap for your slave pits many races will have normal factories so trading for it would not be a huge problem, yes it would put you at a disadvantage but then the Drengin Empire has been using slavlings for god knows how long, it wouldn’t be easy to stop using them, i

Playing on a Medium Map as the Drengin because I love the thought of slave pits and being evil gives me a dark fuzzy feeling in my giblets…. Now where was i… ahh yes… more flesh incinerators! The Story So Far… The Drengin Empire along with the Arcean Empire and Terran Alliance had come to settle in a sector of previously unpopulated space, the Drengin in the south the Terran in the north and the Arceans had wound up in-between. During a war with the Drengin with my allies the Arceans Alterians and Thalans the allies were losing, baaaadly, i mean really badly the Drengin were all over the Thalans and Alterians they were hitting my borderworlds and their tech was higher than ours, i was pumping out warships as quickly as i could but i was losing more than i was gaining. I came up with the idea of putting a Starport on each world, even my reserach worlds and createing a figher class ship, they wouldnt take long

The Alterians ARE irritateing i agree, goody two-shoe arrogent human look-alike snobs... however i voted Thalan, because at least Alterians have taste when it comes to fleet colours... the Thalans... well i dont know WHAT they were thinking when they came up with the vomit green/girly pink colour but they deserve a swift death just for that.

Its an excellent strategy game and well worth getting in my opinion, i prefure it far more than civ4 *dives for cover* thatsjustmyopinion!! All games have their problems, its just nice for once to see that the developer is actually doing something about it, listening to feedback, trying to make changes... no they wont do everything no ones perfect but i love the game and im glad i got it. I understand that some people may get angry because the game doesnt do this, or that,

Best system i ever had was one i started near, in the same sector actually, it had 4 planets, pq's were 16 18 22 and 23, the 23 had two moral bonuses and a 300% food bonus (became my main cash planet making near 890 income a turn) The 22 had a 700% and a 300% manufactureing bonus (strangely became my main ship production center, had something like 950 production when i had military spending at 30%) And i turned the last two into secondary production centers, i packed space

I agree that starbases shouldnt be super unbeliveably powerful, able to take on entire warfleets but on the other hand they should be able to stand up to them. As starbases will never get to attack first (unless its the rare lesser spotted leaping "assasin" starbase)so they should have a increase in HP to make them at least survive the first attack, while their defence can be upgraded and this helps they still seem incredibly delicate, i like the idea of mods added to them increaseing
