The "good" Altarians that always start wars of annihilation and conquest and the Torians that have a tendency, in my games, to backstab me.

There are no green stars in the universe? How boring...
Not a bad idea but seeing the minors acting less "minoritarian" would be good too.
I'd mention: "A Fire Upon the Deep" by Vernor Vinge and "The Diamond Age" by Neal Stephenson as two books I read recently and are very good.
Why can't the downloads be broken down into smaller components? It would save on download time and the one I waited three hours to get didn't even work. How's that? If it takes 6 hour
Some stupid demo put starforce in my machine and I wasn't even aware of it until checking for the damn thing in the Device Manager due to my computer crashing and freezing. As I removed the s*#% today I had no problems anymore. It was not something I read on the net or someone told me. It happened with me and my PC. Starcrap will cripple your machine if installed. At least we all here and the readers of good technical sites know a
83% is too low of a score for this game. Considering the constantly updates that will make the game better it seems more unjust. But at least they didn't pointed at the lack of multiplayer as a fault, that's getting boring.
It seems to be a serious disagreement beetwen your PC and the software. Besides reinstalling the game or even windows maybe trying to disable the hardware aceleration to see if the card is the one to fault.
But I feel if a company deserves $39.99 its definitely Star force. Yeah, no company in history has done more to prevent obsessive gaming... <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Ew.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmidd
The comics in the text are very fine but the mention of Humanity and human race every time I play as a alien or custom race is really annoying. If the Humans are not playing or got extinct it is even more of a eyesore.
The minor AI needs some revamp they don't know how to use military ships.
Learn to stay on-topic and post something that anybody actually cares about. Of course! After all is SO DAMN HARD to spell a five letters word right that is totally unreasonale to expect someone actually doing it...
As I said in another post crackers and pirates have better ethics than Starfarce. A sad message a publisher sends by associating with these types...
A PS2 guided missile would blow up in their face right after pressing the fire button!
Well, because humans reproduce like sewer rats Earth is a very hard place to keep happy. Even with multimedia centers these people are hard to please.
I wouldn't say the AI is weak but on my first intelligent difficulty game I was outclassed in every way from the beginning to the midgame. After the Torians (the most powerful civ at the time) declared war on me and started sending a deluge of unescorted Transports that I easily destroyed with a ship built from a cargo Hull with one Laser and lots of engines (appropriately called "Desperate Measures" <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smil
I don't think it is entirely random. Almost always my closest friends surrender to me. But sometimes it really seems random. Maybe it happens when there are equally good candidates to receive a surrender.
"Soviet copy protection vendor slash crime syndicate Starforce" Oh boy so true!
That happened just once for me. As it was a very hot day I don't know if the video card or CPU hyperheated or what. Thankfully no more problems since.
The others are so-so but the influence one is great!
Yesterday I gave some powerful ships equipped with Black Hole generators to the Snathi and the Dark Yor and they used them. The Snathi even destroyed some freighters of a enemy civ. I was playing in cakewalk. But I agree that they should be able to use them better. They are too easy to destroy.
I ask myself how publishers can be so stupid? PC games are dying because of their idiocy. And it is spreading to all entertainment industry. Every dictatorship dream of controlling what people can do or see. Entertainment industry is making that dream (our nightmare) true. You spent your hard earned money just to be treated like a criminal. Congrats to Stardock for not being part of this fascist madness.
Thanks! It was like the time tunnel with so many of them.
They're maddening and they make valid topics go unnoticed.
I liked this idea. It sounds like the old Star Control game.
