Also morale resources are your friends. You can crank up the taxes sooner rather than later by building those up.
Supreme Shogun
Ah thats how you got so many posts j/k
I don't even you Devs on the huge thread of player suggestions to sift thru. I definitely buy you all a few rounds at a local pub if that was feasible. (I'm not close to Michigan, sorry ) It's the thought that counts, right ?
Better support for modding (full-blown mod UI coming in v1.2) Proof again Stardock is WAY above the rest. It's one thing to say its moddable, have at it. Making it easier to mod in things is great.
Sweet.
Stardock pwns. I love their non-games stuff as much as I love their games. You WON'T be disappointed.
I usually take some +20 econ, +10 morale and +20 or 30 pop. growth I like those
Nope, sorry. Haven't heard of a SG mod (yet )
EA has already been beaten up, while I don't relish the next prospect BUT Firaxis doesn't have a spotless record either. Multiplayer in Civ 3 Play the World. Hello. Remeber that fiasco ? Took several patch to get it decent. Civ 4 while its a good game had some serious issues on launch. For some people, it took 3 patches (many months later) to finally get it to work like its supposed to. So lets not even go there, even with Firaxis. Sier
haha thats not as bad as what I give to the whining minors Here you go, take this colony ship and leave me alone! <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smil
If you can make sure its not abuseable then its reasonable then.
Hate to use a Civ4 analogy, but I want a way to "influence" how galaxies are created, and more than the settings in game. Specifically like specifying initial empire placement as far away as possible. Reduce or eliminate the need for Ctrl-N. Especially since Ctrl-N is now frustrating with the metaverse. Frequency of resources, anomalies planets, stars. Everything could be tweaked by modder. Civ 4 has map scripts and I've used a co
I believe this was noted by CariElf in a stickied thread and gave a warning about it. Basically don't ctrl-n is what she said. I've been lucky I guess, I've not had that problem, and I definitely use Ctrl-N. I would be shocked to get a decent map the first time the galaxy creator ran.
Its not really who wins the vote. Its going to be is there enough saying yes to justify Stardock spending the resources/capital to make it.
Not at present time. Ive mentioned that in the tweaks thread too (and a while back at that )
I disagree with #9 - its not horrible strategy. There IS a formed fleet protecting the other lil guys.
Just wondering as long as its been out, why would anyone not want SP2 ?
Yeah like a 10 turn minimum duration. Only fair. Though they may likely start up again on the 11th turn but at least you have a breather.
As far as breaking just for the hell of it, I've not seen it do that.
Nice tips Statesman Agree wholeheartedly.
It will be a race to do unto others before they do unto you. That is the most important reason IMO, and its really really lame. As it exists, bombardment is an invasion tactic. It has a cost (should you succeed both) monetary and reducing the PQ. Don't expect to see stars/planets getting totally wiped out by a fleet of ships.
As statesman said we don't have enough to go by. If you'd care to put your card in and try it again. Then post the new debug.err that was generated with the sound card and its drivers. We would have more to go on. How much do you value you the sound card? I mean you can get a halfway good one at Wally (Wal-mart) for around $30, I picked up a SoundBlaster 24bit there.
Also noticed your sound card drivers are 2002. Check for an update and update those if possible.
have you checked your debug.err file ?? You can sometimes see what was going on to crash the game around the last lines..
