Ok so no payments over time. I would like to push for forcing the AI to round up to the nearest 100. Case in point selling Stellar Cartography for 67 bc at the beginning. Sure its not worth a whole lot but... you can't buy a factory with that amount. At least rounding it off = harmony with the mouse wheel then.

My concern is that as is. The food production allows for really large population on really large pq worlds. That's good. What's bad is that morale/approval buildings do not effectively keep people happy. Even on a PQ 7 world, where you basically have 1 tile for everything... 1 for Colony Center, 1 starport, 1 factory, 1 lab, 1 farm, 1 trade center, 1 entertainment/virtual reality. My idea is that each ship, in addition to the base 1 parsec/turn or whatever it is, can fit one engine any type regardless of size. Any additional engines go against the size and affects what little room is left for more stuff. Should result in a speed increase all around and the real speedsters or hot-rods still need to have space for additional engines/drives.
edit: I re-read the last post. Point defence was high enough to negate your damage with guns/drivers ? What level was your tech compared to theirs ?

How many do you use? Where and what kind ? I know if you have a resource nearby you can start one and 'mine' it and you should get it before your neighbors do. But do you build econ bases at places other than the home world ? if
Topic says it. Last game I played, "Beginner ". Pah! I don't know what I'm doing but I do know that 2 of the 5 races surrendered to another. I think that's horrible. I know I was ahead some techs above everyone due to AI getting penalty on research/production I havent played a game real far to the end without this crap happening. I see planets can get renamed but not stars . That little document icon isn't there when the object is a star. Also I love renaming Starbases. I cannot remember difference between starbase 54 and 107 they're just numbers. If I change it to Home - Econ or something I know what it is and what I want to use it for. Or Forward Attack Base. etc. Good idea that!
I've been playing several games now with the latest release of the beta. A number of concerns irk me. The recent change PQ to 5 - 10 from what it was. Thalans have a size 17 planet at the beginning of the game ?!? pls tell me theres some kind of bug there.
