You're actually able to scale the size of components down with one of the slider controls (provided you're using GalCiv2 v1.1 or later). Does this help? -Mike [Stardock Support]

Citizen Eilarais : Could you submit an email to [email protected] with your debug.err file (from the GalCiv2 directory) and your saved game (from the My Documents\My Games\GalCiv2 directory) and reference this thread? (Please zip the files up, too) -Mike [Stardock Support]

Citizen Hilight : Please see the following knowledgebase article: https://www.stardock.helpserve.com/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=viewarticle&kbarticleid=434 The sig.bin file partially relies on the Windows installation ID. Therefore if you reinstall Windows or migrate your sig.bin file to another computer, it will not be valid for that installation. Unless you r

Citizen LittleJohn : The activation system has been automatic for more than a week now actually. Assuming you've gone through the activation procedure correctly (for you other people out there, that means not passing "1111111" for the product key ) you will receive an automatic response in almost no

You could try the following: From the prefs.ini located at %userprofile%\My Documents\My Games\GalCiv2\ Modify the file to match the following lines under the Video key: Fullscreen=0 HardwareMouseCursor=1 Multisample=0 Then save the prefs.ini and try running the game again. -Mike [Stardock Support]

Please try turning off antialiasing. This can be adjusted in the video options. You can also set Multisample=0 in the prefs.ini located in ' My documents\My games\galciv2\ ' Please also be sure your video drivers are updated: -ATI: http://ati.com or http://omegadrivers.net if ATI doesn't support your card -NVIDIA: http://nvidia.com -Mike [Stardock Support]

Could either (or both) of you post your debug.err files (from the GC2 dir) here? One thing I can recommend is to set your language settings (in control panel) to English-US if it's not there already. This has for some odd reason been known to produce some very unusual graphic anomalies otherwise. -Mike [Stardock Support]

You're correct. The top priority is catching the error, so at least it's not trying to process the erroneous data. A more appropriate time to add more descriptive error feedback would probably be when the web team isn't so busy! In the meantime... were you able to get your account set up successfully? If not, I'd be happy to assist. -Mike [Stardock Support]

Citizen ccc2501: You should be all set. Those O's and 0's can be easily mistaken! I've retrieved your serial and sent it to you. Citizen Splink: Your license file was sent the pretty soon after you posted here. Citizen Teknoholic: Your account looks okay. Gianna Masetti: A Galactic Civilizations 2 registration is present in your account. (I assume you've gotten this registered?) Try updating your game if you haven't already. If the issue you describe persists, please post your debu

"planet images on the map"? Are you referring to the main screen or the minimap? If you're referring to not being able to see stars, planets on the main screen, please be sure you've set your language settings to US-English (trust me on this one) in the control panel. Does it look something like this:

If you go into the settings menu, is the volume turned up? I'd suggest uninstalling and then reinstalling the game (and modules). Something might not have gone smoothly with the update. You could also archive downloads (if you can afford the space) through Stardock Central under the right-click context menu, so that you don't need to redownload if you should need to reinstall. Press Ctrl+R to restore from archive once you've archived an application. I personally haven't had an

I can't say that's a common issue. Could you post your debug.err file here (located in the GCII directory) after you're able to reproduce this problem? You could also send that in to [email protected] with a reference to this thread. -Mike [Stardock Support]

I can't think of a time when you need sound, but can say that the game will work without sound. You can actually opt out on installing the multimedia module (if downloading through Stardock Central), which will save you some extra hdd space, too. Send an email to mhaber at stardock.com referencing this thread and I'll see what I can do about helping you troubleshoot (and most likely resolve) your sound problem. -Mike [Stardock Support]

Could you zip up your galciv2 folder (in My Docs\My Games) and send that with your debug.err file (located in the GalCivII directory) to [email protected]? I can understand how this would be a big problem, as you're losing out on valuable moves. -Mike [Stardock Support]

We definitely will take your report into consideration. You hadn't happened to save the debug.err file out of your game directory before launching GCII after the hang, had you? If you (or anyone) ever experience any kind of a major problem, (save and exit if still in-game) then send the debug.err file and (if 100% reproducable) your zipped save game causing the problem in to [email protected]. Of course if it were a crash, you wouldn't necessarily have a save prior t
