Your tracert isn't incredibly bad, but it isn't great either. We're not seeing anything in our logs which would lead me to believe that the servers, applications or network is running slow on our end. Chalk it up to a temporary problem, possibly routing, for now.

Ma man mumblefratz! Glad youre still watching everything ;) Should be fixed now. Sorry about that folks.
Fixed.
How is this a deviation from your standard appearance? andrew_ cries, and then hugs mittens. Let's run away together.
Dude! I just saw a pig take flight. It was glorious. Mebbe someone could write an extension to allow primates to soar from my backside!
Rest assured the forums work as intended. The Last Post Info and Last Reply Info columns do not update instantaneously. This is by design. Those of you who are really into seeing your name and/or post appear the second that you submit a reply or post will just have to be patient
Please see this post https://forums.galciv2.com/?forumid=274&aid=149808 .
Our websites support only the latest version of Firefox and Opera. We cannot support older versions. The enlarged editor will work as it is for the time being, due to a limitation within Firefox.
Firefox is horribly notorious for hanging on to old css. Always CTL+F5 when you run across display anomolies.
Looks like i have the menus fixed.
Good catch on the fullscreen menus.
This appears to be a Firefox issue. The Editor is rendered prior to the medals, and Firefox thinks that the page is shorter than it really is. I'll have to find a workaround for this. I cannot provide an ETA for when I'll have a fix. I will report back when I do though.
Thanks for reporting this. We should have a fix up in a few hours.
Hmm where are you seeing these numbers? Maybe I'm having a slow day... hehe
If you really want your game submissions removed, please contact Kryo by email and he will relay the request to the proper people. We can remove characters and/or scores. But its very rarely done.
Please consider putting together a Ship Only pack. I'm really just interested in running the various ship designs. I frequently help test the internal builds of GalCiv and I can't really go about changing the UI, as I need the default UI to properly test.
Correct, that is by design.
That's a shame, I could probably have you up and running before tomorow morning... Oh well, good luck.
Macmatt and I were talking on IRC earlier. Using 7zip (great FREE archiver) you can archive the installer into several smaller 'parts'. Which could then be posted on rapidshare or some such. You then can use 7z to recombine the 'parts' and extract the installer. Also consider using HSplit/Join.
Fellas, how does one download the beta 3 installer? It keeps redirecting to localhost. If you guys need help getting this site going stable, lemme know. I have some free time I would be willing to donate. If you need a mirror... Rapidshare.com, MegaUpload.com, hell - fileforum.betanews.com might host it, not sure what their limit is. There are a bunch of others. I run a server and have about 600gb of spare bandwidth a month, but I wouldnt be willing to host the entire 1.
The points system is Stardock-Site-Wide (which means that points accumulate from any stardock website you participate on) and is currently under review and reworking. Simply put - it's a mess. It was created for a much smaller volume and wasnt intended to scale how it has been forced to. (It was originally concieved for joeuser.com) That being said, I would invest too much time trying to figure it out, as it's more than likely that it's going to change very soon.
We're using AJAX technology to display the medals. I would research the use of AJAX methods and any issue that your particular firewall may have with that. You might also try searching at http://ajax.asp.net as there are lots of good posts surrounding IE and AJAX there.
Please keep this post on topic. I've subscribed to it and was bummed to find off-topic stuff. I'm doing my best to keep track of what's reported here and address it. Keeping it on-topic will definately help
Mine looks just like the pic Mumblefratz posted Good to see someone else seeing the same. Yes, the picture mumblefratz is seeing is correct. Though I'm not sure how people get the bbcode to begin wit
Smilies are working again
