What happened to carriage returns?

Hmmm... I just responded to a thread where I quoted someone's text from a previous reply and all the carriage returns were stripped from the quoted text. I thought this was unusual so I edited my post to mention this and it appears that I couldn't enter *any* carriage returns. This post is to mention this as well as to see if it happens again.

Actually the above sentances were essentially entered double spaced so the forum is definitely stripping carriage returns.

There was a forum update earlier this morning which seems to have broken them, even though it wasn't supposed to affect any of the post code. It's on the list of things to look into for the web team.

It's painful but adding
tags manually seems to work for the interim.

Ah. I assumed somehow my recent customising of Firefox was to blame. Nice to see that isn't the case. Well, nice for us, at least. :P

Thanks. :)

No big deal but anytime I see something like this I have to make sure it's not just me because I so heavily customize my IE setup (yes I know boo hiss) so as to disable active X, java and anything else remotely active. For example I don't even see gif files move, that's how dinosaur I am. ;p
